“I’m still thinking about it,” Shotgun replies.

That’s the end of the conversation, so I don’t press him further. He’s the closest thing to a father I have but that doesn’t mean I can bother him with my opinion when he doesn’t ask for it. We chat about other things for a little while before I excuse myself.

On my way out of the bar, one of the sweetbutts—the one who sucked me off when I got back—accosts me.

“Hey, baby,” she says in a drunken lilt. “Where have you been? Come on. Let Tiny Tina take care of you again.”

Tina. That’s her name.

“Sorry, Tina,” I say, “I’m just leaving. Why don’t you show Charlie Charlie what you showed me the other night?”

“What’s wrong with you?” she says, shoving me and frowning. “You fill my mouth once then don’t talk to me for a month? What’s your problem?”

I don’t have time to deal with this. “Bye, Tina,” I say.

I push past her to the door and she shouts, “Fuck you!” after me.

That earns some catcalls from the other guys, who assume this is just a typical lovers’ quarrel. I ignore them and get on my bike, then head out.
