I hit the garage opener on my sun visor and pull into the garage. One thing I love about Preston’s home is that he has a two-car garage, when most houses around here only have garages big enough for one vehicle to fit inside, or two can fit but you won’t be able to open any doors, unless you’re a piece of paper.

As soon as I open my car door, the garage door opens to the house and Preston comes into view. “Hey, babe.” He smiles at me.

“Hey, I’m sorry I’m late. I had a run in with Chris and then I decided to fill a shopping cart at the liquor store.”

His eyes darken at the mention of Chris, but he chuckles when he peeks into my trunk and sees I wasn’t lying about filling a shopping cart at the liquor store.

“Why would you buy so much? Holy shit, this will last a year, if not longer.”

“Um, I wouldn’t be too sure of that. Girls’ night … we kind of go through a bottle or two of vodka.”

He carries the largest box, full of vodka, into the house. “Don’t worry about that shit, I’ll bring it in,” he calls as I go to grab another box of booze out. Instead I just grab the bags of wine and follow him in.

“I probably should have asked you first if you had a place to hold all these bottles, before I bought them.”

He laughs. “Don’t worry about it, not sure how much ofourplace you’ve explored but in the basement, is a full bar.” He said our house. I’m not imagining that, right?Ourhouse? “You’ll have plenty of spots to put all this away, since it’s bare down there. I even have a wine area installed and a beer fridge.”

I snap my fingers. “I knew I forgot something.”

“Don’t worry about the beer, I’ll get some next time I’m out.” He pulls me to him after he sets the box down and kisses me. “I hope you didn’t miss the part where I said this is our house.” His silver eyes draw me in, and I nod, still staring up at him.

“This isn’t moving too fast for you? It’s only been two days.”

“Two days but feels like longer. I’ve waited years for you to be mine, and I’m not going slow, no matter how much you fight it.” He kisses my forehead. “Now, tell me about your run in with Chris. He didn’t hurt you, did he?”

I shake my head no. “Only with his words, but I hurt him just as bad. Our relationship was never as good as we made it out to be. His cheating and mine while we were dating. The way we fought our whole marriage was basically just tearing each other apart. Sure, we had good times, fun times, but we never trusted each other, we lied to each other all the time about the littlest things. We just basically brought it all out into the open this evening.”

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you,” he tells me on a squeeze.

“Honestly, I’m glad you weren’t. Probably would have made the situation worse, considering you’re what started his confrontation.”

He sighs. “I’m sorry, Trixie.”

“You don’t need to be sorry for anything. You did nothing wrong.”

He steps away from me and grins. “Why don’t you change into something more comfortable, and I’ll go stick the garlic bread in the oven.”

“Sounds good.” I give him another kiss and go to change. When I step into my room, I notice all my things are gone. “What on earth?” I whisper to myself.

“Oh, forgot to tell you,” Preston shouts up the stairs. “I moved all your stuff intoourroom.”

Fifteen minutes later, I’m wearing mySons of Anarchypajama pants and a ratty old tee shirt. Preston smirks as he takes in my appearance. “So, why did you move all my stuff?”

“Told you, babe, the minute I sunk my cock inside of you, you were mine, and that was that. So, when I got home from work I moved it all.”

I shake my head at him. “You’re so cocky.”

“Yeah, baby, I am. You want dessert first?”

I lick my licks and smile at him. “Damn right I do.”

“Good, strip and set your ass on the counter. I feel like feasting first.”
