I look over to Derek who is propped up on his side, grinning at me.

My eyes narrow. “What?”

“You haven’t noticed it?” he says raising his eyebrows.

“Noticed what?” I demand.

I lift my hand up to give him a smack, and notice something shining on my left hand. Oh fuck. Holyshit. “Derek?” I wheeze out.

“I figure, I can give you three months to plan it, then we’ll be hitched. Mum is coming over today to take you dress shopping.”

When he finishes talking, I start to cry. “Oh, Derek. I love you.” I say as I wrap my arms around him.

“Happy, baby?” Derek whispers into my hair.

“Fuck yes!” I shout.

When I stop sobbing, I look up to Derek. “I can’t believe you didn’t even ask me.” I say as I start chuckling.

“Of course not. Why risk the chance you could say no?” He says cockily.

Derek

Well, that was easy. I thought she would throw attitude about it, but she didn’t. Can she get any more perfect? I smile down ant Rylie. Rylie smiles back at me and pushes her head toward mine. I take what she is offering, feeling more from the kiss than most men will ever feel their lives.

“Thank you, Derek.” She says, against my lips.

“What are thanking me for, babe?” I ask

“For making me feel whole again.” She says, with tears in her eyes.

I love this woman. “Rylie, you are the one that did that for yourself. You just gave me the honor of being by your side while you did it.”

Months Later

I can’t believe I just became Mrs. Tremaine. I never thought, after the horror Caleb put me through, that I would be in this spot. I look around the reception hall and see all of our friends and family dancing, eating and having a blast. I asked William to walk me down the aisle, and he was more than happy to do so.

Melody was my maid of honor, and it sucks that she has to go back home tomorrow. She left a few months ago, but she came back just for my wedding. Even though she lives in a different country, doesn’t mean that I wanna lose her friendship.

I look over to the dance floor and see Nikki and Kade dirty dancing. I chuckle at the sight. Kade is the only one that Derek has kept in contact with since he moved. I talked to Nikki a little bit earlier, and she was telling me Layla now has three kids-- all boys. I chuckled at that. Man, with three boys, she’s probably going to have a trio like Chase, Kade and James. Nikki, having read my thoughts, looked at me grimly. “Uh, I have two girls.” I burst out laughing. “They are going to probably be just like Layla and I. Oh my God.” She says as she puts her hands over her face. Kade and Nikki left their girls with her parents, so they could be here for the wedding. At the rate those two are going on the dance floor, I have a feeling they could be making another girl.

Coming back to reality, I look over to my husband, and see him chatting with his father. God, he’s so hot.

“Yo bitch.” I hear Mel say from behind me.

I turn around and smile at her. “Hey.”

“Love the new look babe, but the dreads were killer.” I bring my hand up to touch my hair. I got rid of the dreads three months ago; felt it was time for another change. The dreads and the piercings are now gone. I would never want the tattoos gone. Each one means something to me, and they hide the hideous shit Caleb did.

“I know. Maybe I’ll get them again when I turn sixty. I can be one of those cool Grammas.” I say chuckling.

“Hells yea. I’ll do it, too. We’ll be hot Grammas together! Hell, we’ll even dye our hair blue!” she says on a shout.
