Atear escapes downmy cheek before I can wipe it away. “My love, what’s the matter?” Marcus asks me, seeing the tear.
“I know who is going to end my life.” I say with finality.
“Who? Tell us so we can end them first.”
I can’t tell them, telling them would destroy the hearts of many. “I can’t, this is a future that can’t be changed no matter the outcome. It’s our time Marcus.”
“Bullshit.” Lougheed shouts from the doorway. “Bullshit it’s our time, it’s only our time because you say it’s so. We can change the vision.”
I love my men, more than anything in this world, except my daughter. But they can be a demanding bunch. “My loves, I’ve seen multiple different visions this morning, no matter what we do, the outcome is the same. You at least will be by Raven’s side when they come for me.”
“No, we’ll stay by your side, if we’re dying, we die together.” Cassius declares.
I go to refute his claim, but another vision comes, this time it’s of Nev, our Angel King. He’s coming, he felt the pull to Raven. Finally. He’s going to be the trickiest to get on our side.
“Nev is coming, prepare a room for him.” I tell the men and they immediately get to work.
I must personally prepare a wing of my house for my sister who finally has decided to grace us with her presence. Raven will be so pleased to have her back, I know she’s been missing her. I can’t even tell Raven about my vision of who kills me, it will only cause her heartache before it’s necessary.
