God, she was tight. The thought of how it would feel to shove into her, had him almost at the edge of his control. He had been a teenager the last time he came in his pants, but the sweet taste of her and the sounds she was making had him on the verge of embarrassing himself.

He found the soft g-spot in her channel and stroked against it, wanting her to come apart for him before he gave into temptation and fucked her into the mattress. All memories of the sweet girl she had been were erased by the wanton woman beneath him, shouting out her enjoyment.

Her channel fluttered against his fingers, and he knew she was close. He nipped at her clit with his teeth creating a short burst of pain to push her over the edge. Her whole body trembled as he felt her orgasm crash over her.

When her screams turned to moans, he worked his way back up her body with gentle kisses. The punch-drunk look in her eyes was everything that he could have hoped for. The kiss they shared was somehow dirty and sweet, all mixed up together in a wonderful package.

Liv’s giggle was like music. “I think you’re going to have to give me a minute to recover before you saddle up or I might pass out.”

Sean laughed. “There will be no saddling up. This was just for you.”

The insecurity he hated seeing filled her eyes, and she covered her beautiful breasts with one of her arms. “Don’t you want to fuck me?”

“More than I can say, but you’ve had a rough day and I’m not going to take advantage of that. After we’ve taken care of Luis if you still want to, I promise to fuck you so hard your throat hurts from all the screaming you’ll be doing.”

“I don’t scream.” Sean raised an eyebrow and enjoyed her eye-roll. “Fine, I’ve never screamed before. It was probably the adrenaline.”

He kissed her nose and did his best to ignore his painful erection. “Sure, it was. But that is my point.”

“Fine. How exactly are we going to take care of Luis? You’re a fancy lawyer and I’m a waitress. Unless we find someone willing to use the evidence, I filmed, I’m not thinking we’re the dream team to take down a drug lord.”

“The ‘we’ I was talking about didn’t include you, princess. Have you ever heard of Echelon Protection?”

“I think so. Weren’t they in the news for saving a girl in South America last month?” Sean nodded. “I don’t think I can afford mercenaries and even if you can, what makes you think they would help us?”

“I’m one of the owners of Echelon Protection. I already have men working on your case.”

“Really?” The hope and excitement in her eyes were an amusing contrast to her messy hair and gorgeous naked body. Sean ran his fingers lightly over the small red marks his early attention to her breasts had caused.

“Really.”

Her hug took him off guard as she tackled him sideways onto the bed. Her excited kisses quickly turned into passionate ones as she ground her wet core against his erection. She pulled back. He hoped that the tears sparkling in her eyes were happy ones.

“Thank you, Tepes.”

Sean brushed a tendril of hair away from her forehead. Fate had brought them back together, and he wouldn’t let her go this time. He would make Liv safe no matter what it took. Even if it meant ending Luis’ life.

Chapter8

Liv

It was oddly arousing to be completely naked while straddling a man in a suit. But Tepes wasn’t just any man. Liv ran her hands over his chest trying to memorize the expanse of carved muscles his unbuttoned shirt exposed. How many times had she dreamed about being able to touch him like this?

Her fantasies didn’t hold a candle to the reality of his warm skin under her fingertips. She was a realist. With a sister like Amelia there hadn’t been much choice. The future wasn’t hard to predict. If they survived the cartel he would be gone, back to his cushy life, his work, and close friends. Meanwhile, she would be left either struggling to start over in hiding or here without any support.

Life had never been easy, but it had been simple. Living on the edge of not being able to house or feed yourself limited one’s choices. Long hours at multiple jobs to try and pay the rent and hoping that no one would try to take away what little you had. Even free time had been a luxury she could rarely afford. For most of her life, what little of it she’d had, was taken up by trying to help her sister, writing Tepes, and getting revenge.

Now what would she do? Partying had never appealed to her after watching her mother and sister flush their lives away chasing the next high. She wasn’t athletic or talented. The only thing she had excelled at was learning about surveillance to track Luis. Maybe she could take up photography if she ever got her gear back. Maybe Tepes would be willing to do a nude photo shoot.

Liv snorted.

“What’s wrong?” Tepes’ hand stroked over her hip sending a chill up her spine.

Liv lay her head down on his chest enjoying the comfort of his heartbeat softly beating against her ear. A man like him deserved someone so much better than her. The fact that he wasn’t even willing to have a fling hurt. She’d had hope for just a few minutes that something good might come out of the trainwreck that was her life.

She shrugged. “Just wondering about what happens next.”

He stroked her hair and Liv closed her eyes trying to memorize the feel of it.
