“Excuse me?” Marcus growled.

Sean shook his head. “Speaking of getting laid. We need to go home early and finish packing.”

“That wasn’t as smooth as you think it was.” Austin teased.

“Would you rather we stay here and discuss his sex life and why you are glad Echelon doesn’t have a fraternization policy?” Teasing his friends was always a fun distraction, but this time he just wanted to get Liv home and start their vacation.

“Oh. I bet I can guess who is tempting our southern gentleman.” Liv rubbed her hands together like a cartoon villain.

“None of that, darling.” Austin circled around the two of them and gave them a gentle push towards the door. “Have fun on your vacation.”

They both allowed him to push them out of the office while they smiled. When the door slammed behind them, they laughed and Liv wrapped her arms around his waist.

“It’s funny that they think I’m going to forget about setting them up with someone by the time I get back.” She grinned up at him.

“Playing matchmaker isn’t a good idea.”

“You all need someone to shake things up. Especially grumpy Dante.”

“Liv.”

“Ok, I’ll be good.” She rested her head against his chest. “I can’t wait to get to the Bahamas.”

“I can’t wait to see you in that bikini I bought.”

“I bought the sunscreen.”

They both laughed and headed down the hall towards the elevator. He’d thought he had been living a full life before, but Liv made everything better.

Acknowledgments

We all have those days that kick us in the teeth and make it really hard to get back up. Well 2022 hit me like a bad horror novel. Both my mind and body turned on me and I was unable to write or create anything. But unlike those scary tales that keep me from sleeping I was able to find light in my darkness in the form of family and friends. I’m slowly walking out into the sunshine because of your wonderful support.

I want to thank my family who stood by me during the darkest days and reminded me that every day has some success in it, as long as you keep trying. I love you.

There is a special woman and fellow author who stepped up and kept things moving even when I couldn’t. She is an Angel in disguise and deserves every ounce of good Karma the universe can send her. You are my sister from the other side of the continent. Thank you Skyler West with all my heart and soul.

I also want to thank the amazing team who helped me somehow finish this book even though I often doubted it would happen.
