"Normal people take a bath."

I took the first step toward her.

"Normal people drink a glass of wine."

Another step followed.

"Normal people lie down in bed and sleep."

One more step and I was standing right in front of her.

"But you're craving something else, aren't you? A different kind of relaxation." I reached out and closed my hand around her chin, forcing her to look up at me, even though my cock was stretching towards her through my pants.

Gia licked her lips in a lascivious manner while maintaining eye contact.

"You are just like a kitten, aren’t you," I noted, sliding my hand from her chin into her hair. "Let's see if we can mess up your fur a little."

For a moment, I allowed myself to look at her wild face. The freckles, the laugh lines, her stormy eyes and the perfectly curved brows.

I pulled Gia's head back a little, a gesture of pure dominance. Because I was not offering anything further than this– and she had to understand that before anything happened.

"There are rules though. The most important one is that I do not sleep with any woman more than once."

A smirk appeared on her lips. "Who says I want to make love to you again after this?"

I hated the fact that she unknowingly hit a spot inside me with her comment and awakened the interest in me to break my own rules. I had not even sunk into her yet.

"What other rules do you have, mafia prince?" The way she pronounced that nickname sent a bolt of lightning through my body.

"Why don't you find out?"

Inwardly, I was still making fun of the fact that Dario thought a rule like this was feasible. People didn't care about one-night stands. That's why they had that incredibly creative name. People didn't care if they ever saw the other person again. Dario, however, took the time to make a special rule and then communicate it to the women he slept with? It took a lot for me not to laugh out loud and let my amusement show.

On the other hand, it was an interesting game that I got involved in, in which I got closer to Dario. The danger involved appealed to me.

"I'd figure it out if you'd just shut up already," I replied with a murmur, sliding my hand down his neck and pulling him closer to me so that our lips were almost touching.

I felt his breath on my face and the intoxicating energy that emanated from him. There was a smirk on his lips. Why was he amused?

He couldn't blame me for wanting to forget the tensions of the last few hours in this way, of all things. At least for a short time, because I was sure they would return soon and remind me again what had happened to me and how I had ended up near Dario de Archard.

"I don't see you making any effort to get to the point, micina."

An indignant sound came from my lips. Did he expect me to make the first move? Did he think I would do all the work while he sat back and watched me do it?

I tilted my head, brushed my lips over his, but without kissing him. "From the mafia prince himself, I expected a little more commitment."

A fire blazed in his eyes.

"Or have you changed your mind? Are you too tired and would rather sleep? I can take care of the throbbing between my legs myself, if that's the case."

I looked at him, challenging him without words. How would a man like Dario react to provocation? Would he accept it? Would he grab me and show me what he thought of this behavior?

I couldn’t wait to find out.
