“Back to the mothership?”

He chuckled. “It definitely feels like that.”

“Well, hopefully your father has cooled off by the time you get back.”

“Ha, I doubt that. The man knows how to hold a grudge.”

“Do you ever think about leaving the family business?”

He ran his hand through his hair. “All the fucking time.”

“Why don’t you?”

He pondered me for a moment and smiled. “One day I will.”

Grayson was practically licking the plate when I pulled it out of his hands.

“Let me,” he said, picking up the rest of the dishes. “Since you cooked, I’ll clean.” He dumped them into the sink and turned on the tap. Except when he reached over for the dish detergent, he pumped the hand soap under the running water instead.

I giggled and nudged him out of the way. “You’ve never washed a dish in your life, have you?”

Grayson stood closely behind, peering over my shoulder. “Is it that obvious?”

I reached over and tapped the soap. “Hands.” And then the detergent. “Dishes.”

“I should take notes,” he said, laying a soft kiss on my shoulder.

I drew in a deep breath as he moved closer, eliminating any space between us. His growing bulge protruded from his jeans as he pushed me up against the counter.

The thin layer of silk did nothing but enhance every movement he made. He scooped my hair away from my shoulder and kissed my neck. As he nibbled my ear, his hands encircled my waist. One slipped inside my silk robe and over my breast, while the other moved lower causing me to drop the plate into the sink with a loud clatter.

“Fuck the dishes,” Grayson said in a husky voice. “I’ll buy you new ones.”

With another giggle, I closed my eyes. “God, that feels good,” I murmured, loving the feel of his hands exploring my body.

“I can make it feel better than good,” he whispered as he pulled the smooth material over my behind.

The zipper of his jeans sounded, and a condom materialised from his back pocket. A moment later, he slid into my crease with one swift thrust, almost splitting me in two. My back arched as he drove into me, again and again until I was grasping the counter and crying out his name.

After we desecrated the kitchen bench, we took ourselves back to the bedroom for yet another round. We had enough protein at breakfast to sustain us for the rest of the day.

As I fell back onto the bed with a giggle, Grayson nudged me with his elbow. “What?”

“I’m just…giddy.” Pete never made me feel this way.

He shifted onto his side to face me. “I’m glad I’m not the only one.”

I matched his move, and lifted my gaze to his.

His smile faded as his now hazel eyes drew me in. “Can I see you again?”

I smirked. “You really are persistent, aren’t you?”

“It’s one of my better traits.”

I lifted the bed sheet, peeking underneath. “Definitely not your best trait.”

With a chuckle, he grabbed my waist and pulled me on top of him. “Come on, Josie.” He raised his brow, waiting for a response.
