There is nothing quite like waking to Mila’s tight little body wrapped around me, her warmth on my skin and her sweet scent invading my senses. I’ve never slept so well in all my life, and I don’t think sleeping without her in the future will be an easy task.

After finding her asleep and on her side, I gently pried her thighs apart and wiped the evidence of our fun. She didn’t stir, not a single peep leaving her lips as I took care of her and then slipped in behind for a cuddle.

Another thing I now know to be a fact: with her, I’m a cuddler. All night I kept her close, skin on skin, with a hand cupping a tit. However, some time during the night our positions changed, and I’ve become her mattress.

Her entire body is on mine—draped over me as if she’s a blanket. My cock is rock hard between her thighs while her head lies right over my heart. Thighs that are wet with my pre-come and her juices.

Decision’s made; I’m taking her with me. She’ll be my personal comfort blanket.

Mila’s thighs move, tighten for a few seconds before she hums low. “Best night sleep.”

“Agreed, beautiful.” Kissing the crown of her head, I reach down and slap her ass. Her pussy clenches, and lips flutter against my girth. “Your new purpose in life is to be by my side at all times.”

At once, Mila stills. “Nicholas, please,” she whispers, and then pushes off my chest with one hand. Her sleepy, warm eyes meet mine, and in them I see a touch of sadness. “I wish I could…but can’t. At least, not now.”

“I’m sorry.” Because I am. It’s so much easier to ignore the elephant in the room with her so close, but that’s no excuse either. What she needs is a reassurance that we will work, and I can do that and so much more. Mila is it for me; I know this deep within my bones.

Seeing her on the beach awoke something in me: a sense of fulfillment. Content, where I once didn’t realize that loneliness had become something I grew to expect because of my job. Now, though, I see the more within my reach, and I’m not letting go.

My mouth parts, a second apology sitting on my tongue, when she shakes her head. “Stop. There’s no need to say anything other than you’ll come back to me in six months and we can pick up where we leave off.”

“That’s not going to work for me, Mimi.”

She tilts her head to the side, lips in a thin line. “I’m going to let you explain that before I take it for how it comes across.”

“You’re cute when trying to play angry.”

“Nick, you better…shit!” she yelps as I slip us around with her small body now pinned underneath mine. Nowhere to go. Mila’s eyes narrow, and her finger pinch my side after a minute or two. Being in this position reminds me of last night. Of her taste on my tongue. “Explain, jerk.”

“So violent.” This time, she pokes me. “Okay, give me a second, woman. You’re a bit distracting, and I’m trying to gather my thoughts.”

“If you’d just get up…” she trails off when noticing the look on my face. “Fine. Stay as you are, butanswer me. What do you mean it’s not going to work?”

Lowering my face, I press my lips to hers and speak against them while my dick flexes against her slick core. “We’re not picking up where we left off, because there’s no pause in this relationship. We’ll always be, no matter where we are.” The tightness around her eyes fades at my words, and she melts beneath me. Spreads her legs wider. “I’m leaving the country, not you, baby. Never you.”

Forcing her head back against the pillow, she gives me a small smile, her lips curling at the corner. “We’re really doing this, Champ?”

“I’m not letting you go.” And that is the truth—I can’t. Never will. I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure that this woman never goes a day without realizing that I love her.

There’s no denying my feelings for her, even if the world might consider this fast. That we haven’t had enough time to explore this thing growing between us.

None of that matters, though. Not as I look into those grey eyes and my heart gives a harsh thump for her.

Time isn’t relevant here; she’s a gift I’m accepting with arms wide open.

“Mila, I—” My phone ringing on the nightstand interrupts the moment. Then as it stops, it goes off again with hers chiming in from somewhere on the floor. Jesus Christ. “Ignore it,” I tell her, and we do, until they ring again.

My girl isn’t angry, though. Instead, her small body shakes with laughter beneath mine. “They aren’t going to stop.”

“Evan is annoying as fuck.”

“Crystal is persistent.”

“Then they’re a match made in heaven.” I sigh, knowing that we need to get up. “Can you spend the day with me, Mila? Anything you need to get done and can’t cancel?”

“I’m yours until you leave.” Threading her fingers through my hair, she pulls me down for a sweet kiss that ends too soon. “Now, let me up. I’m grabbing a quick shower before calling her back.”
