Page 73 of His Sacrifice

“I’m scared I’m gonna wake up,” I admit, clutching onto his skin, and biting into his shoulder as his cock pulses to unleash inside me.

“You’re awake, and this is real,” he reminds me, dragging us both onto the floor.

“It’s not gonna be easy,” I add nervously, as Raoul pulls a throw from the prop boxes over our naked bodies.

It doesn’t matter how happy I am that Raoul would give everything up for me, I know this is not going to go down well with his family, and they aren’t a family you want to be on the wrong side of.

“I’ll figure it out, but you need to come home, no more running. You're mine and it’s gonna stay that way. And if you want me to stick to that promise I just made you, I need you to trust that I know what’s good for you. You need protection, someone with you always, even while you're at work or with your friends.”

“Okay,” I agree, without even having to think about it. Yes, this is crazy but I see no other option. It’s always been Raoul, he’s always been the fairytale ending for me, a bloody and brutal one, but mine nonetheless.

“I’ll call my driver back.” Raoul goes to take out his phone, but I stop him.

“Not yet. Let’s just lay here a while, and enjoy the silence before everything gets complicated.”

“What are you thinking?” I ask after we’ve both stared at the ceiling for a while. Propping my elbow across his chest, I rest my head in my hand and watch his finger draw circles around my belly button

“Honestly?” He smiles to himself, pulling his eyes away from his fingers to look back at me. “I’m wondering what you’ll look like growing my child inside you.” he admits, and I blush when I realize he really did mean what he said.

“You really want all that? The whole kids and a wife thing?” I check because it’s so easy to believe something when you want it so bad.

“With you, yeah.” He reaches forward and kisses me.

“I want to do things so differently. I want my sons and daughters to be whoever they want to be,” he adds.

“You’ll be a great father, Raoul,” I assure him, taking his hand and bringing it up to my lips so I can kiss his fingers. “You have a unique but effective way of taking care of people.” I laugh playfully.

“You must let me take care of you,” he stares back at me seriously. “Being with me comes at a cost. It makes you a target. I’ve tried really hard to avoid that but—”

“Bad things happened to me when you weren’t around,” I interrupt him, and I can see how bad it hurts him to be reminded of that. “You can’t control everything. You can’t protect everyone.”

“Let’s get you home.” Raoul kisses my forehead, before getting himself onto his feet and holding his hand out to help me up.
