Fuck their stupid rules.

Prez sits alone, looking troubled as he tokes his cigar. He’s spending more and more time in here lately. Perhaps he’s enjoys the peace these days.

“There’s a rule in here, members only,” he huffs a sad laugh, reaching forward to rest his cigar on the ashtray.

“Yeah, and we both know that if I had a dick and a ball sack I’d be a member, and a better one than any of them out there.” I fold my arms over my chest, waiting for him to argue.

“Take a seat,” he points to the chair opposite him and I oblige, crossing my legs and clearing my throat.

“I think I know how to fix Troj,” I tell him, watching for his reaction. I’ve mentioned it to Grimm a few times now, and each time he’s dismissed me. I’m going straight over his head and to the top this time.

“You do huh?” Prez rests his elbows on the arm of the chair and strokes through his white stubble.

“I know where Shaniya is,” I confess, but my words don’t shock him, instead he nods his head slowly. “And I’m gonna go and convince her to come back.”

“I see your logic, Rogue, but you saw for yourself how he was with her. I don’t even think Troj wants her back here.”

“Troj hasn’t been dealing with the real problem, Jim…” I clear my throat when he smirks. “Prez. He’s so hell-bent on retaliation that he’s forgotten about the person who he’s getting it for.” I know Troj ain’t a bad person, the way he’s behaving isn’t his style. Bad shit just sends people crazy.

“And supposing the girl’s moved on? She might not want to come back.”

“Well, I don’t think she’s doing much moving on,” I shrug.

“You in contact?” Prez frowns.

“Me and Maddy both are, but I wasn’t sure if she’d actually reach out if she needed something, so I put something in place.”

“What did ya do, Rogue?” he closes his eyes and sighs.

“I’ve had someone kinda keeping an eye on her. Reporting back to me, trying to bring her out of her shell and be a friend, ya know?”

“Who?” He holds that stern look while he waits for my answer.

“Willow Taylor,” I fake him a sweet smile.

“You mean Willow Taylor, President of our Long Beach Charter’s fucking daughter?” he checks.

“Yeah, that’d be her.” I nod back.

“How did you even?” Prez rubs his hands over his wrinkled forehead.

“I heard Autumn talking to some of the boys saying she’s always giving her old man trouble. Figured I’d give her a little side project. And it wasn’t all me, Maddy was the one that got her number.”

“You girls are starting to scare me,” he blows out a breath.

“I don’t see any of your guys coming up with better ideas,” I add cockily.

“It ain’t like you to come for permission on anything.” Prez looks at me curiously.

It feels good to have the respect of a man like Jimmer Carson.

“Well…” I chew on my lip as I prepare to drop the catch on him.

“Well, what?” his rough voice croaks back at me.

“You wouldn’t want little old me traveling the country without someone to take care of me, would you?” I play the cute and helpless routine. All guys love cute and fuckin’ helpless.

“Wouldn't think of it,” Prez rolls his eyes sarcastically.
