Brax and my brother interrupt when they storm through the glass door. Screwy takes a seat beside me while Brax slams his fist on the reception desk.

“Get Roswell here now,” he demands.

I have to maintain professional, despite my shock and the fact my pussy is pulsing, and my nipples are tingling.

“If you don’t calm down, sir, I’ll have to arrest you too,” I warn the man throwing his weight around in reception.

“Ummm, I think you should come out here,” Lucille speaks into her phone, her eyes still fixed on my detainee. Who, unlike his friend, remains cool and calm. The guy standing beside him is almost identical, same huge build, skin covered in tattoos, the only difference between them is their hair. The one I’m familiar with is a shade lighter and a little longer. I remember running my fingers through it, clutching it as I came on his cock.

Stop, Alex.

“What’s going on out here?” The Chief shunts out of his office looking pissed; the old man’s probably been taking a nap. His face drops when he sees the men, and he stares at me.

“Busted them on the parade. This one was assaulting another male, who fled the scene. He was armed and carrying.” I fold my arms over my chest proudly. This town might be more exciting than I gave it credit.

“Uncuff him, Alex.” Roswell shakes his head, turning around and heading back to his office.

“Watch him,” I order Lucille, quickly storming after him.

“Are you crazy?” I close the door behind me. “He was assaulting a man, carrying a weapon. He had cocaine.”

“They’re a motorcycle gang.” Roswell sinks into his chair and stares up at me as if that’s his explanation.

“They’re thugs,” I correct. The fact they hide behind a hobby is about as relevant as the fact I spent a night with one of them.

“Well, thugs or not, they help keep this town clean,” he admits, rubbing his forehead.

“Real clean.” I slam the stash I found in the guy’s back pocket on the desk. It ain’t a lot, but it is class A.

“And did you speak to the victim of this assault?” Roswell looks up cleverly.

“No, at the time I was too busy detaining the criminal,” I snap back, and if I sound sarcastic, good, that’s my intention.

“The Souls take care of any drug-related problems in town. No one deals in Manitou Springs, including them. It’s how things work around here,” he explains.

“You know who my father is, right?” There’s been no mention of who I am up until now, and despite me always using a different surname, it wouldn’t take a lot of digging to find out. Chief in a small town like this one has got time to do his homework, and I’m surprised he’s sharing this information so freely.

“I do. I also know that you took this job for a specific reason. So, you can trust me with your secret, Alex. Can I trust you with mine?” I stare at the old man in front of me; he’s way cleverer than I’ve given him credit for.

“Fine.” I’m forced to go against all my better judgment and it pisses me off. I can already see the smug look the son of a bitch is gonna give me when I go out there and uncuff him. When I fucked the guy in the motel a few weeks ago, I got the vibe he was a biker. I had no idea he was a Dirty Soul, and now that I’ve just had it confirmed that Roswell works with them, I’m gonna have to be careful how I tread.

“Looks like you’re free to go.” I walk back out into reception, doing everything I can to appear unbothered, when inside I’m seething.

The guy somehow has me all hot and frustrated, like I’m the one in cuffs, and it’s vital not to show men like him weakness, not even a slither of it.

“Good choice, Officer…” the one with the evil glare says sarcastically, crashing the door open with such force it almost shatters the glass as he walks out. He’s followed closely by the identical version of the man whose cock I rode a few weeks ago, and both of them lean their asses on the railing outside while I get my keys.

I turn my attention back to the man I arrested, and he lowers his eyes to my name badge. “Officer Monroe,” he says my name in that same gruff voice I remember. Reminding me of all the filthy things it spoke to me while I fucked him.

“I’m not afraid of you.” I look him square in the eye. Same way I do every criminal I’ve ever arrested who thought they could intimidate me. Yeah, I’m a woman, yeah, I’m small, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be overpowered.

His eyes glance cautiously around us to check no one’s listening.

“You should be,” he warns, the threat in his tone sending a thrill down my spine.

“Why? Did I make the big bad biker look silly in front of his friends?” I over exaggerate a pout, using one of Lucille’s dopey-eyed expressions for inspiration.

“Pffft.” Shaking my head, I move around his body to release him from the cuffs, then snap them back onto my belt.
