“Damn, Pose. Look at you.” I chuckle.

“Let me see!” Eloise shouts, rushing down the hall. Her heels clap on the tiled floor, and then she turns the corner, her nurse costume fitted perfectly. Dressed in a white fabric dress and a red belt with a large plus sign in front of it. She also has an old-school nurse’s hat on that’s pinned to her red curls.

Vienna walks in, a pirate one-piece attached to her, with booty shorts that show off the majority of her ass, the fabric a black leather. The black and red top covers a white ruffled undershirt, the black straps hitting just above the breasts. She has a black mini sword in her hand, and an oversized red hat clutched in her other. Tied with her own pair of fishnets and a pair of black boots, all I can do is smile behind my hockey mask.

The guys are going to lose their minds.

Cue evil creepy laugh.

“Holy shit. The guys are going to lose their shit when they see us.” Eloise cackles.

I nod. “They really fucking will.”

“We should head out. The guys are already on their way. They were going to pick us up, but I’d rather surprise them.” Vienna smirks.

Posie shakes her head. “I have a feeling tonight is going to be crazy.”

Same, Posie. Same.

We park in front of the lighthouse next to a row of cars along the side of the street. The cars face the water, and all our eyes are on the gravestone prop that sits in the sand.

“That’s fucked up,” Eloise mumbles, turning off her car.

“Is this another prank from the masked man, you think?” Posie whispers.

I shake my head, glancing around the place. “No, I don’t.”

There’re skeletons hanging in the doorways, fog machines smoking out of the windows. Carved pumpkins are lit, glowing orange and placed around the lighthouse.

Someone has a projector set up on the back of the lighthouse, and the originalHalloweenis playing, Jamie Lee Curtis taking a hit of marijuana in Nancy’s car.

My favorite movie.

Fake spiderwebs are strung up from posts, leading a pathway toward the front of the lighthouse.

“Let’s go,” Posie says, opening her door and slipping out.

“Do you know what any of the guys are dressed as?” Eloise asks, straightening the dress over her ass.

Vienna shakes her head. “No. They wouldn’t tell me.”

I roll my eyes. Figures.

We walk around to the front of the car and stare at the lighthouse.

“It’s kind of weird, honestly. To think about what happened last year,” Posie mumbles.

“I try not to think about it, honestly,” Eloise mutters. Her fingers go to her chest, and she rubs the scar that she’ll forever have from her attack in the library.

“It’s hard not to think about it when there’s someone out there reminding us of what happened almost every day,” I say, glancing around the crowd.

“Do you think he’s here?” Vienna whispers, her body tightening.

I nod, glancing up through the windows. This is a fairly large lighthouse, big enough that people can party on all levels without feeling cramped.

“He’s going to do something tonight, isn’t he?” Posie says, taking a step forward, her clown face twisted in concern. It would look comical if the nerves weren’t so intense.

I can feel it in my blood that he’s here tonight. What he has planned, I have no idea, but it’s something, and my body thrums in anticipation for it.
