“Don’t. I don’t want this. I never wanted any of this,” she grits through her teeth.

I laugh. “I bet if I slipped my fingers between your thighs, I’d feel how drenched you are. Do you lie?”

Her face flames. “I hate you. Leave me alone!”

I move, making my way toward her, and she takes off in a sprint toward her car. She fumbles, her keys slipping from her grip.

“Shit!” she whispers, glancing over at me, fear in her eyes. “Leave me alone!”

I don’t stop, continuing to move toward her with purpose in my steps. Lakyn should fear me, but she needs to be reminded of what else lies in her soul.

It’s so much more than only fear.

It’s everything.

With wide eyes, she abandons her car, running toward the docks.

I chuckle under my breath, chasing after her with slow steps. She doesn’t say a word, yet her feet are quick, the energy rushing from her frenzied, terrified.

I inhale deeply, loving the sharp scent of her fear.

It’s delectable.

She hops onto the dock, and I growl under my breath, my steps speeding up as I rush after her, bloody blade in my grip.

Her feet pound against the wood, and I can feel the vibration under my feet as I make my way toward her. She reaches the end, and has nowhere to go, so she leaps off, hopping onto one of the empty boats.

I smile.

Perfect.

“Stay away from me!” she shouts.

I grab onto the rope, swinging myself onto the boat as I head toward her.

“You can run, Lakyn, but you could never hide from me. I’ll always find you. In the light. In the dark. In your dreams, and best of all, in your nightmares.”

She lets out a whimper, and I follow the pounding of her steps to the front of the boat.

I smile behind my mask as I reach her, and she has nowhere to go, not unless she wants to jump into the water.

“Stay away from me,” she spits between her teeth. “I’m not playing these games with you. If you want me, you better kill me.”

I growl as I reach her, grabbing onto her hips. I spin her around with force, pinning her against the edge of the boat. Bending down, I growl into her ear. “Maybe I will.”

My gloved fingers reach the waistband of her sweats, and I yank them down to her knees. Leaning back, I keep her in place as I admire her body glowing under the moonlight.

Fucking delicious.

I draw the knife up to her stomach, the sharp edge gliding across her smooth skin. “Or maybe I’ll just listen as you scream my name. In horror, in pleasure, either one is fine with me, baby Lake.”

She whimpers, and my finger slides between her legs. My jaw clenches when I can feel the heat through my glove. She’s soaking wet, just as I anticipated.

I press my hips forward, grinding against her ass. “Does murder turn you on, baby Lake?” I growl.

She whips her head back and forth. “You terrify me,” she whispers.

I stick my leather finger into her cunt, swirling around her juices. “You’re a liar and a murderer.” Pulling my finger out, I glide it up her ass, watching as her skin shines from her arousal. “I can’t help but think watching me murder someone made your pussy drip with need. Am I right?”
