She didn’t wait for him to process anything she told him. He followed as she ran into the other room. She snuggled their son for a long moment and told him she loved him then kissed each beaming grandparent on the cheek, waiting for Leo to do the same before she dragged him out the door.
At the car again, she told Baylor, “Get us there quickly.”
The bodyguard laughed. “Already planned to break the speed limit. You’re terrifying when displeased.”
Snorting, she got in the back and Leo sat beside her. “Are you telling me you’re okay with...leaving Alex?”
“Nope. I’m telling you I need to take baby steps to get there. This is a trial run.” He started to ask another question and she put her fingers over his lips. “Don’t you dare ask me any questions.” She held out her hand and he took it.
Half an hour later, he straightened as they pulled into the gorgeous property with rental cabins.
“Our first time together…” he whispered.
“The best day of my life up to that moment. This time, it won’t end badly. I thought we could soak up some alone time and enjoy the scenery. It’s lovely here.”
Meeting her eyes, he smiled. “I love it. Thank you, Amelia.”
At the cabin, Baylor removed their bags. “I’m in the cabin next door if you need me.” He waved his hand. “I’m not the only one but...you get it. Place was cleared.”
Taking his hand, Amelia led him inside. “Give me fifteen minutes in the bathroom. There are a couple of things the doctor wanted me to take care of.”
Locking the door behind them, Leo asked worriedly, “Is everything alright?”
“It will be. We’ll talk when I get out.” She set a bag on the counter and said, “Will you put these things in the refrigerator for me?”
He nodded, feeling increasingly more confused and worried by the moment. He wondered what the doctor said and what Amelia had to do.
He put the insulated bag of fruits, cheeses, dips, and wines in the fridge and laid a fire in the fireplace. It was important to stay busy until they talked.
A low whistle came from behind him and he turned. It felt like his heart stopped.
Amelia stood in the bathroom doorway wearing nothing but a velvet choker, black high heels, and a smile.
As he moved dazedly toward her, he took in the sight of her long body, curvy in all the right places. She was stunning.
“Amelia, I’m only human.” Gripping her hips in his hands, he clenched his jaw in agony.
“I have a prescription Dr. Evans gave me. Can you take care of it for me, Leo?”
She held out a piece of paper from her OB/GYN and he took it, wondering if he was going to have to run to the pharmacy right now. With a frown, he turned it over.
Leo, all is well. Better than when we started actually. I can vouch for Amy’s good health and complete recovery. I’m proud of all the work you’ve both put in to keep her safe.

Leo looked at the paper, then at Amelia. He glanced at the paper again and she grinned.
“Leo?” He tilted his head as he stared at her. “Doctor’s orders, Leo.” He let the note drift from his hand and swept Amelia into his arms.
Carrying her to the bed, he set her on the edge as he rapidly pulled away his clothes. Naked, he knelt in front of her, his cock jutting hard between them, and ran his fingers up her calves.
