Sarah laughed and removed her coat. Underneath, she was wearing what could only be described as a little black dress. It was tame compared to what some of the submissives walked around the club in, but it would raise some eyebrows if she wore it in public.

The club door opened again and Mistress Katrina made her way over. She extended her hand. “You must be Sarah.”

“Yes.”

“I’m Mistress Katrina, the owner of this fine establishment.”

“Oh.” Sarah’s eyes widened in surprise. “Thank you for letting me come tonight.”

“We welcome anyone who wants to indulge in the lifestyle safely and privately.”

Sarah nodded. “Daniel went over the rules with me. Privacy is a big concern for me.”

“You won’t have to worry about that here. Relax and have fun. If you want to play, let Daniel know and he can find you a suitable Dom to play with.”

“Thank you, Mistress.”

“Call me Mistress Katrina.”

“Yes, Mistress Katrina.”

The first part of the night flew by. Then, as per usual, she was on her own for a while. It gave her time to read her book.

A few minutes after midnight, Daniel came to get her. “How was your evening?” he asked as he helped her with her jacket.

“I made it through five chapters of my book.”

He laughed. “That boring, huh?”

“Five people came in and two people left between eight o’clock and eleven.”

Daniel tucked her into his side as they walked out into the night. “My night wasn’t much better. I was missing my submissive.”

They reached the car and he opened the door for her. Instead of getting inside, she turned and slid her hands under his jacket. “I don’t have to work tomorrow night.”

“And I assure you I plan to take full advantage of that.” He brushed his lips against hers and his hands went to her ass. “But the night isn’t over yet.”

A shiver of pleasure washed over her as she thought of the possibilities.

EPILOGUE

Two weekslater

Daniel opened his email to find something from Peter. He hadn’t heard from the private investigator since his last text two weeks before. Not that he’d been expecting to. Things had been put in motion and it would take time for them to unfold.

The email contained two attachments. One was a link to a press release announcing the departure of Grant Jacobson from the hospital. The announcement was brief. There was no mention of the reason for his leaving, but he hadn’t expected it.

The other to a court document that had been filed in civil court. Tabitha Jacobson had filed for divorce from Grant Jacobson. He scanned over the document and found this one was a little more interesting. The reason listed for requesting the divorce was infidelity. And she was seeking fifty percent of his assets, as well as their home and a nice sum in child support for their two children.

Daniel leaned back in his chair, steepling his hands in front of him. He hadn’t known there were children involved, but it wouldn’t have changed anything. It only added to Jacobson’s sins.

The lawyer handling the divorce was listed on the paperwork. He picked up the phone and dialed.

“Masterson, Langley, and Bradshaw,” the woman on the other end of the line answered.

“I’d like to speak to Jeffery Bradshaw.”

“Is this about a case?” she asked.
