“I can’t wait to see you again.” He said as he leaned in to kiss me.
Our lips met and I melted into him. I knew it was the first date, but I wanted more, and I could tell he did too.
We said our goodnight’s and I left smiling like a teenage girl that had her first kiss all over again.
I don’t remember what I dreamt about when I woke up the next morning to a loud bang on the door.
“What the hell.” I said groggily as I got out of bed, “Hang on!”
Throwing a sweatshirt on, I went to the front door as JJ and Savannah walked out behind me.
“What asshole is waking us up at_” She paused to look at the time.
“It’s eleven J.” Savannah told her yawning.
What time did I get back last night? Who knows?
When I opened the front door, there was no one there but a vase full of white roses.
Those are my favorite; I noted as I picked it up from the floor.
“Ooo!” JJ said, “So pretty! Who are they from?”
“And who are they for?” Savannah followed.
I put the vase down on the coffee table and took the note out of the envelope that had my name on it.
“Are they from who I think they’re from?” JJ squealed.
“What did we miss last night?” Savannah eyed me.
I took a deep breath, “Let me read this first and then I’ll explain.”
They nodded and we sat down on the couch to read the note.
“You are the one Maya. I know I don’t deserve you or a second chance, but I hope that if you still have any feelings for me, we can talk and maybe start over again? I want to do it right this time. This time, I want to sweep you off your feet and show you how much I want you to be in my life and never leave again. You deserve so much more than what I could give you before, but I’m not that person anymore. Please take some time to think about it; by the time you read this, I won’t be here anymore. I don’t want you to be confused about me. Last night you asked me what I wanted, and the answer is simple, and I hope it’s enough. I want you, us. To show you how serious I am, I’m giving you space to think this through, I know it’s not fair of me to drop this on you right now but I’m hoping you can get some clarity. If you decide to give me one more chance, meet me at the address below two weeks from now. If I’m right, you can’t lose something you always had.”

“Girl!!!” Savannah bumped me with her shoulder.
“What the actual fuckidy-fuck-fuck Maya.” JJ’s eyes were probably as wide as mine were when I saw him last night.
My mouth opened and closed.
This wasn’t like the Dorian I broke up with before.
I folded the letter and ran my hands through my messy hair. Then I look at my friends with tears in my eyes.
“What am I going to do now?”
Inside I was screaming and laughing at the same time. Does that sound crazy? It probably was, but what was I supposed to do?
He gave me two weeks to think about it but was there something to think about?
Holding the note close to me, I closed my eyes. “Always and forever.” I whispered before I told my best friends everything that had happened last night.
I don’t know what I’d do without them. Dorian turned my vacation upside down and now I had to decide in two weeks.Would I give him another chance? Should I?
