Just as my mother predicted.

“I’ve seen to your safety though,” he added. “I’ll personally escort you to my private jet that will take you to an undisclosed location, and my people will provide you with new credentials to assure your wellbeing. I vow that the Arcan organization will not be able to track you from this point on.”

“Oh. That’s...What about you?”

He frowned. “Luke Callaghan will continue as he has for the rest of his long life, which will only be another one or two more centuries, more or less. He’s very finally well off though. Don’t you be worrying about him.”

“But I do. I always will,” I said, taking one step closer. “Because I’m desperately, passionately in love with Michael Bryant, or Luke Callaghan, or whatever name you wish to call yourself.”

“Your husband, now and forever, is what I wish to be called, Callista McEwan,” he said, lightly touching my jaw. “Because I desperately want and love you, as well. For as long as the fates will grant me. The choice now is yours alone to make.”

No choice.

None whatsoever.

“Take us to your home in Ireland or wherever you wish for us to live, wolfman. All three of us,” I said, throwing my arms around his neck and preparing to kiss him so hard and so long that he would never have a single chance to forget me. Ever. “Either way, we make our own fate now.”
