On the exhale, he pushes the tip of the plug in.

I stay perfectly still even though I want to squirm away. This feels plain weird.

“Inhale…exhale.”

He sinks more of the plug in. Gradually, with each exhale, more and more of the plug is nestled in me until my anus seems to suddenly go from resistance to pulling it in.

“Good girl, Bridge.”

I adjust to the fullness faster than I thought I would, until he grasps the end of the plug and wiggles it. Releasing the plug, he gives my buttock a slap. Then he intensifies his fingers against my clit, and the pleasure is incredible. I don’t know how the plug has anything to do with my clit, but the whole area between my legs is lit. The stimulation at my clit seems to accentuate the butt plug, which responds by echoing the pleasure from my clit. I’m bewildered and ecstatic.

“Can I come? Can I come?” I ask in a hurry.

“Yes.”

“Ohhhhhh…”

Fireworks go off between my legs. I don’t know what to do with my body. As long as he’s touching me, I’m on some other plane of sensation. Eventually, he withdraws his fingers but leaves the plug in.

By the time my climax finally fades, I am more than awake.

The rest of the morning,we hang out on the beach and watch the wedding rehearsal. I read through materials for school. We have lunch at the open-air, beachside grill, where I order the turmeric and coriander prawns while Darren opts for the grilled Wagyu. Darren compliments me on not agonizing over the prices. I admit that I feel a little guilty not opting for the least-expensive lunch item, but I think I’m getting used to spending his money.

Darren leans over to me and whispers, “It’s going to be more than worth it once we’re back at The Lotus.”

Halfway through the meal, while I listen to Amy compare this trip to the one her family took to Hong Kong, I see Darren look over to the far side of the restaurant where two men have sat down. I think they might be with the wedding, but Darren doesn’t look too happy to see them.

“That’s another friend from USC,” I overhear JD say to Darren.

Later, I glance over at the two men and see that one of them is looking at Darren with equal displeasure. In fact, they’re engaged in a staring contest.

Dessert menu in hand, I draw Darren’s attention by saying, “This sticky rice dessert sounds like the one we had at your place.”

Lunch ends with no more staring contests, but I do look over at the other guy twice. Both times, I find him staring at me.

“Who was the guy in the restaurant?” I ask Darren as we walk back to our villa.

“No one important,” he replies.

“You sure about that? You looked ready to kill him. Either that, or you guys were going to get hot and heavy.”

“We don’t like each other. There’s not much more than that.”

I get that guys don’t like to get as personal as women, but I feel like there’s a whole other side of Darren that I don’t know much about. I tell myself that we haven’t been together long, a lot of our time is filled with sex, and he’s one of those private types. But I’d like to try to peel away some of those layers.

“Just stay away from him,” Darren adds.

After lunch is our couples’ massage and spa treatment. Even though I’ve never had so much as a facial, I can’t imagine any massage or spa treatment more special than being outside overlooking the sea. First comes a milk bath, then a jasmine rice body scrub, a facial involving jade stones and sacred lotus, and finally an aroma-infused massage with Siamese healing herbs. Any massage would have been a luxury, but each of us has two masseuses working on us. By the time they’re done, I feel like relaxed Jell-O.

Back in the women’s locker room, wrapped in a plush spa robe, I retrieve my t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops from a locker. I hear voices, coming from the other side of a set of lockers, that I recognize: Andrea, another bridesmaid named Moon, and Yu-Jin, the girl who kept hitting on Darren in front of me last night.

“Can you believe the girls Darren and JD brought with them?” Moon asks.

“JD has a different girl like every month,” Andrea replies.

“But they must be serious if they brought them here to your wedding.”

“Not really. Remember the girl JD brought to my father’s 50th in Sydney? He dumped her a week later.”
