“We’re having an emergency Demon Valley meeting,” I declared loud and clear, my voice booming across the open field. We were standing a few feet from the Residence which was a different location than the Alpha Pack House where we’d come from.

We were planning to come and find Felix and Fynn but Zasper and the fleet suddenly went a different direction, and there we found Miss Snitch of the Valley.

“And who the fuck are you?” someone yelled from the crowd. I couldn’t see them, not like I cared, but before I could speak, shards of black came darting at me.

I didn’t even flinch at the sudden movement, nor did I move out of the way. With a blink, Felix and Fynn were in front of us, their swords crossing and the culprit stopping the shard that had every intention of piercing me.

Why does everything wish to pierce me in this world? Such a fucking pain.

“Are you guys fucking stupid?” Felix snarled while his aura spiked threefold.

Fynn’s aura flared just as quickly and he lowered his sword to stand to his new height of 7’0”.

“Attack the Luna of this valley again and you’ll face the consequences for the rest of eternity.”His voice was deadly and almost inhuman, the words like a slurred language of baritone sounds.

“Alpha Malifer didn’t introduce her as his Luna!” another demon called out.

“Ya! We all know Laura is his bitch,” a different demon voiced.

“Rejecting bitch who sleeps around but once us all to respect her,” a high-pitched demon mocked.

“The fact some of you guys even think of Laura as a Luna is insulting,” a screeching voice cried out. “She’s only alive cause Alpha doesn’t have the time of day.”

“More like he can get better pussy than her open ” A male demon chuckled with a bunch of demons.

“Alright, new Luna. Since you got Felix and Fynn to protect you, guess that means it's legit. Who the fuck are you?” A demon came from the shadows, his body in the form of a knight as he walked out from the crowd to be a few steps before them.

“These Demons sure don’t show a lot of respect when their existence is thanks to Alpha Malifer,”Lily declared. She sounded ticked off by their lack of humbleness, and maybe that’s why it pissed me off further that they were acting superior to me.

I’m sure they were viewing me like those men who judged me for being a woman and “sacrificed” me to be Bishop’s dinner. The level of disrespect matched with the ticking clock that was stopping us from just departing was going to drive me insane.

“Hmm. You guys really forget what it's like to see an overpowered woman in your presence, huh?” Colton casually declared as he seemed unbothered by everything. He lifted his arms up and stretched them before putting his hands behind his head. “This is Lady Heartwell. Alpha Malifer’s mate.”

“Mate?” the knight questioned and huffed. “Can she even control the valley? No. Can she even control a Dako fly? She looks rather fragile to me.”

A few others chuckled at the obvious judgment.

“Her aura is rather nonexistent too,” another spoke up. “If she’s the Lady of Demon Valley, why doesn’t she show us what she can do by getting rid of Laura over there?”

“Hah. She can’t go do that,” the high-pitch voice noted. “Laura said she’s Alpha Malifer’s favorite demon in the valley. Kill her and he’ll come running over here and punish all those involved. No thank you.”

“That’s just a bunch of bullshit,” a demon grumbled in annoyance.

More demons began to speak up, to the point some were arguing and others were just raising their voices for the hell of it. Each second was making my patience wear thin, but it was also giving me the opportunity to do what I wished to do.

They want to see a glimpse of my power? So be it.

“Hmm? What’s that?” a tiny voice squeaked which seemed loud enough to cut through the unnecessary screaming and shouts being tossed between the demons. They remained silent for a moment, which was when it was easy to hear that rumbling that encouraged the ground beneath our feet to tremble gently.

“Something’s coming,” a man yelled.

“It’s probably Alpha in his wolf form,” another dismissed like it was no big deal.

“Shit. We haven’t seen his wolf side in a long fucking time. Bet he’s angry that his maiden is over there in a pink collar like a dog.”

“Fits her nicely,” another argued. “She’s a bitch.”

I knew Laura was fuming at being talked badly about, so I decided to make things extra dramatic by allowing her to speak once more.
