“Uh, Selene,” Kenzo interrupted as he leaned in.

“What?”

“They think you’re gonna fuck them.”

“Fuck them up, ya?”

“No. Not fighting fucked up, but…well, fucking all of them, like a harem.”

“Why would I do that?” I gasped. “I want to fucking suck the life force out of them! Fuck them up with the lift of my hand and just inch my fingers inward like I’m literally crushing their hearts and seeping the air out of their lungs until they’re gasping and clenching their necks trying to survive!” I deciphered and noticed what I was saying was actually beginning to happen.

I had to stop myself from continuing while my eyes widened tremendously. My reaction only encouraged Kenzo to glance around and see what was happening in real-time.

“Uh…Selene, are you doing that?” he asked as the men began to cough and were fighting for breath. They were all so focused on trying to catch some form of air that they aimlessly dropped their guns and clenched their necks with the assumption something was tightening around the exterior body part.

“Oh, hell nah. I swear this ain’t me,” I voiced and we watched them begin to drop one by one until it was literally only the leader left. He managed to look into our eyes before he rolled back and plummeted to the ground.

“Damn,” I whispered and stared at Kenzo in shock. “That…that wasn’t me.”

“It wasn’t me either,” he emphasized while his voice was barely there. “Fuck. Who did that?”

“BITCH! YOU LEGIT KILLED THEM?!”

We flinched at the screeching declaration before a brunette walked into the alleyway to point to the crowd of bodies on the ground.

“LOOK! Look what you promised you WOULDN’T DO!”

“Oh, c’mon, Brook. They’re fucking murderers. I know I promised I’d be a good girl and stand nice and still for fifteen minutes so we can go to that winter fair happening in the middle of the city, but they were asking for it!”

“They weren’t even threatening you!”

“Yes, but their auras were such a pain in the ass to be around! I’m sure they were going to die anyways so didn’t I do everyone a favor?”

“You did not,” Brook groaned. “We’re never going to be allowed to come to this side of the Syndicate again now.”

“Alpha Cain is not going to revoke our privileges to come over here just because we killed some mafia group that was pointing at a damn kitty like it was a wild beast.”

“Is that what you’re going to tell Alpha? ‘Oh sorry, Alpha. A blue kitten was in the middle of a mafia shoot out and we couldn’t dare support such animal abuse so we killed them all and the kitty just sat there grooming herself!’”

“But c’mon. She’s blue and really cute! I couldn’t let them kill a blue kitten. Maybe we can convince Alpha to let me adopt it!”

“No.”

“Brook!”

“You can’t even take care of yourself!”

“Yes, but if I take care of the kitten, it’ll be like baby training!”

“A kitten and a baby are POLAR OPPOSITES on the spectrum of responsibility, Novacane!”

“They seem the same to me,” the woman declared as she walked into view and holy shit! The woman in question looked far too similar to me.

We had to be close to the same height — making her legs in the black shorts she was wearing look badass with all the tattoos and markings upon her flesh. Her hair had multiple red strands while the roots were black, and her overall aura was a mix of red, blue, black, and grey.

She really was stunning to look at when her eyes were currently as red as her lips.

“Can I at least touch it?”
