“We’re still waiting on the final count. As of now, it’s standing at fifty. They had not only wolves but vamps as well, Sir.”

“Very well. Go handle the cleanup and then get the girl's father here. He will pay for her being taken, and give us any information he may have about the people she’s been with. Clearly, he’s keeping something from us.” I dismiss him with a wave of my hand. He quickly turns and exits the room. Even in his failure he still holds his head high. A true warrior.

My son thinks he’s clever. How they managed to get inside the perimeter of my property and take what is mine is a mystery to me. Nevertheless, I will get her back. Her power is mine and belongs to me along with a new line of powerful warlocks.

Picking up my phone, I scroll through the contacts until I get to my traitorous son and hit the green phone icon. It rings until his voicemail picks up.

“You think you’ve won, but you haven’t. I’m coming for her and you,”I leave on his voicemail, then hit the end button. Now to plan my attack.

Shay

I finally feel at peace, back at home with the men I love, my mates. Now I just need my daughter. It’s time to bring her home. Looking to either side of me, my heart swells seeing Damien and Sebastian’s sleeping forms. I just want to lay here and bask in the memories of what we shared together.

I feel Damien begin to stir next to me, so I turn to look at him, just as he’s opening his eyes. “Good morning. How are you feeling?” Reaching out, I let my fingertips trail down the side of his face. He lifts his hand, covering mine with it, bringing my fingers to his mouth and kissing them.

“Better waking up to you.” He brings my hand down and holds it against his chest, over his heart.

“I agree, waking up here is much better than where I was.” His face drops at my words and I realize my mistake in saying them.

“I will die with the regret that they took you and what you went through. Do you want to tell us?”

“No, not now. Let’s just revel in the fact I am back where I belong. There is something I want though,” I pause and he takes the silence of the moment to speak.

“Anything. Just tell me and we’ll do it. I’ll do it.”

“I want Chelle. Can we bring her here? I need to have her close, to know that she’s safe.” I feel a hand wrap around my waist, pulling me back against him.

“Sebastian, did we wake you?” I ask, looking back over my shoulder at him, and he places a kiss on my lips.

“No, I’ll talk to Hunter, but I don’t think that there will be a problem with it. In fact, I’ll go get her myself. I’m sure she’ll be excited to see you as well.” He places one more soft kiss on my shoulder blade as he rolls over and sits up on the edge of the bed. Reaching down, he picks up his discarded pants from the floor and pulls them on. “I’m going to go start some coffee.” He stands and leaves the room, leaving the door cracked open.

Turning back to Damien, I lift up and kiss him, letting my tongue trail along the seam of his lip until he opens up to me, deepening our kiss before I pull away. “I need to go check on Maverick and Beba.”

“Hold on and I’ll go with you.”

“Damien, sweetheart, you need to rest,” I beg of him.

“I’m already better. I think it was that magic pussy of yours. Better than any medicine they could have given me,” he jokes as he sits up in the bed. We each move to opposite sides of the bed and stand. I find the clothes I wore last night and put them on, while Damien heads to his dresser, pulling out a shirt and sweats.

“Ready to see our people and get our daughter?” My head jerks toward him at his words. “Yes, you heard right, she is our daughter. She may be Maverick’s biologically, but make no mistake, she is ours too.” I rush across the room, cutting the distance between us and barreling straight into his arms, wrapping mine around his waist.

“I love you, Shay, I’ll spend the rest of my life loving you, Chelle, and all our children.” His words hit me hard, and I’m still reeling over what he thinks our future holds.

Pulling away from me, he takes my hand in his and leads me out of the room, heading for Maverick. The house is quiet as we move down the hallway. When we get to his room I go to knock on the door, but Damien stops me, taking hold of the doorknob and opening the door. Peeking in, I see a softly snoring Maverick spread eagle in the middle of the bed, sound asleep. Not having the heart to wake him, I motion for Damien to shut the door. I’ll come back and visit when he’s awake.

“Let’s let him sleep. He needs to rest so let's go see Beba,” I whisper to Damien when he looks at me curiously.

“Anything you want,” he responds with a smile.

“But Damien, knock when we get there, don’t just open the door and go in.”

“Why?”God, can he really be that clueless?

“Because she may be in a compromising position, especially with the men who are claiming her.” It's like the lightbulb finally goes off in his head and he gets what I’m saying. We’ll blame his inability to think clearly on his injury.

Instead of Damien, I lift my hand and knock on the door while he steadies himself against the wall. I can tell the short walk has already fatigued him, whether he wants to admit it or not.

“Come in,” someone calls out in a deep, masculine voice, muffled so I can’t determine who exactly it is.
