Excitement flickers inside me. “When?”

“Later. After the show. I want to take you out.”

“Aren’t you full?” I smile back at him as overtly innocent as possible. “You just ate enough for three men.”

“Don’t be a smart ass,” he says, leaning in and biting my bottom lip. It makes me yelp, but the sharp sting is swiftly covered by a soft kiss that makes me sigh. “Come out with me tonight. Say yes?”

“People might see us.”

“Not where I want to go they won’t.”

I smile with surprise, trying to ignore the way Reed’s fingers are exquisitely lingering over my backside. “And where is that, exactly?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?”

“That’s very cryptic, Reed.”

“It was meant to be. You can hang around in the green room as long as you want. Take a shower if you want. Or just chill out and watch the show. No one will bother you in there once we go on stage. I’ll meet you at the stage door once we’re done.”

I should at least pretend to think about it for a few seconds, but as the crowd cheers and the house lights begin to flicker, more smoke filling the stage above us, I find myself nodding eagerly, happy to do whatever he wants me to do.

“Good luck,” I tell him.

He releases me after one last tight hug, but before he disappears into the darkness, he turns and looks at me one last time. He traces the tip of his tongue over his bottom lip and then shakes his head as he jogs out from beneath the stairwell and heads down the corridor to take his place on stage with the others.

Brinley

The cold night air clings to my skin as I stand out in the empty parking lot at the back of the theater. The concert finished almost an hour ago. There are a few stragglers still lingering around–a couple of sound guys, and there are some roadies hanging back to finish packing up the last of the electrical equipment–but other than that, I’m all alone, and cold, and to be honest I’m really hungry too.

I nibbled on some salted peanuts while I watched the concert from the green room, but that was ages ago, and they aren’t really cutting it anymore.

I didn’t take a shower. I was too afraid someone was going to walk in on me, and besides, I like my makeup and hair, and I didn’t want to ruin it all just yet.

And not only that, I didn’t want to miss a second of the concert.

Cold Neptune was incredible. They have the most amazing energy on stage, and they all play off one another like the true professionals they are.

Kael kept mostly to the back of the stage, his face hidden in the shadows, and he was wearing sunglasses. Not sure why. Quinn and Jaxon, their energy was amazing.

But the star of the show was definitely Reed.

Reed’s voice is like rich, velvety chocolate. It oozes from his body effortlessly. He works the crowd brilliantly, making jokes between songs, chatting with some guys up front, asking them where they’re from and what they do for a living.

He even flirted with a couple of women.

One of them handed him a silk thong, and Reed took it from her, making a show of giving her his best sex eyes, before he shoved her underwear into the pocket of his jeans, promising her he’d find a damn good use for them later tonight.

I felt like I’d been punched in the stomach just watching him make those eyes at another woman. But it was like Reed knew exactly where the cameras were, because the second after he shoved the underwear into his jeans, he looked directly at the camera, winked and smiled that gorgeous crooked smile of his that I know he was smiling just for me.

The smile I know I’m falling for. God, I’m totally falling for him. And not just because he’s given me two of the most explosive orgasms I’ve ever had in my life, but because in the moments that no one else gets to see, he’s sweet and kind, and funny and seriously the most generous man I’ve ever met.

He’s everything. And I want him in ways I’m not entirely ready to admit to just yet.

The stage door suddenly flies open, and I spin around to see Reed storming out, kicking a cardboard box out of the way as he swears and grumbles a whole list of things I can’t make out.

“Reed?”

He stops abruptly and looks over at me, and with the way he’s just standing there staring at me, it makes me think he forgot we’d made plans to meet after the show.
