“You got Darius to agree to it too,” Adam continued, like he hadn’t heard me. “All three of us got heavily invested in you, all on the premise of you getting back at your brother.” He pointed at the handcuffs. “I think it’s all deserving of some punishment.”

“What does that mean?” I asked, looking between the two men. Adam had an expression on his face that was hard to decipher. Cam just looked as unsure as I felt. But he said nothing. He didn’t clarify what Adam was getting at. He just sat across from me on the bed and shifted uncomfortably.

“We handcuff you to the bed. We get to do what we want to do to you,” Adam said easily. “Spanking, edging, whatever comes to mind.”

“Edging?” I asked, confused.

“It’s like if I were fingering you and it felt like you were close,” Cam explained readily, “but I stopped, so you didn’t get off. I’d wait to touch you there until it felt like you weren’t right about to bust. Understand?”

Both of my eyebrows went up. I blinked at him. Had I forgotten that he was into stuff? “The most experimenting that I’ve done is with the three of you,” I said nervously. “Now you’re wanting to push for more?”

“Not really pushing for more, more like making sure something like this doesn’t happen again from you,” Adam said as he got up. “He’s into the idea. The discussion I had with Darius seems like he’s into it too.” He pulled his phone out of his pocket. “But whether or not it goes forward is up to you.” Heshrugged as he thumbed at his phone. “You don’t have to take part in it if you don’t want to. We can keep it like usual.” He paused and looked up at me, something darkening his eyes. “But this would put us on a little more even playing field, don’t you think?”

My mouth was dry, and I looked down at the half-eaten sandwich I held. I didn’t really know how to feel. It’d be fair, especially considering the first time I’d been with Cameron. But I was afraid to give Adam that kind of power over me. Being emotionally vulnerable was one thing, but physically was a whole other level I wasn’t sure I was prepared for.

“You don’t have to,” Cam said readily. “It’s scary, the first time, handing that kind of power over someone.” He picked up the handcuffs, parting the faux fur right above where the chain met the cuff. “There’s this latch right here. You push it up with your finger and it’ll make the cuff release. Plus, we can come up with a word you can say. That way, if it gets to be too much for you, all you have to do is call it out and everything stops.”

“You’re into that kind of kink?” I asked him.

“I watch the porn. I’ve experimented with girls that were into it,” he explained easily. “But I haven’t got deeply invested in it. I just bought a pair of cuffs. I have a wood paddle in my closet that I’ve used once. That’s about it.” He bit his lip as he looked at me. “I can’t say I successfully edged a girl. She got impatient, and it went fast-forward real quick. But I’ve been denied. When I finally got to cum, it was hard and a mess.” His voice lowered, making his words cut right through me. “But it was hot. I didn’t fuck the girl doing it to me, but I made sure she had a good time afterward. I think she was probably the only girl besides you I let come back for seconds.”

“The paddle sounds like too much,” I said, looking up at Adam. “I have to work Monday morning. I don’t know that I’m ready to do something like that when I’ve got to go pretend thateverything’s okay, like I didn’t do . . . ” I trailed off, trying to think of how to put what he was suggesting into words.

“I wasn’t saying we had to do this today,” Adam said, grinning. “I mean, I’ve got Darius’s text thread open. I was gonna tell him to come over to watch the game. But if you want to do stuff, we can do that instead.”

I looked at Cam, feeling afraid. Cam reached forward and cupped my chin, his thumb caressing my jaw. Something about the caress put me at ease. “This isn’t about hurting you. I wouldn’t let him hurt you. It’s about gaining some power back after everything we’ve been through.”

“You have all the power in where this relationship goes,” I said, but I didn’t pull away from him. “I don’t want to step away from you, and I’m not saying that I will. But I’m not in a position where I feel like I can make calls about where we go from here.”

“Then don’t think of it as a power dynamic thing,” Adam said as he came around the bed to stand closer to me. “Think of it more like . . . ” He paused and gathered up the hair off my neck in one hand. He gave my hair a light tug, holding it tight, so I had to straighten up and follow the pull of his hand. “Think of it as a little adventure. If you like it, cool, we can see how far we can take it. If you don’t? That’s fine too.” He tugged my hair until I tilted my head back, breaking Cam’s hold on my face. He met my gaze with a savage grin. “But I won’t lie. I want to beat your ass for a few things.”

“I’m sure Darius does too,” I said dryly. I didn’t make any move to get him to let go. “If you hurt me, I get to hurt you. I just want to make sure that’s clear. So if you’re not willing to let me beat your ass with a paddle, I’m not willing to let you beat mine.”

“That’s fair,” he said with a shrug. “The only question I have is, do we do this now? Or do you want to wait until your next day off?” His fingers curled into my hair. “Because the more we talk about it, the more ideas I get. The more I want to do to you.” Heleaned down. “Do you want to wait and see what more I can cook up?”

“The only plans I had for today was to rest,” I said, swallowing hard. “I wouldn’t say no to sex. I could use the release. Maybe we could experiment a little?”

“Let me get Darius here and we can see what we can do,” Adam said.

He eased the hold he had on my hair and I relaxed. I looked down at my breakfast and I wasn’t sure I could finish it. “I need a shower,” I announced.

“Go ahead,” Adam said, stepping out of the room. “I’ll get you a shirt and shorts to wear. It’ll give Darius plenty of time to get here and we can talk about what we want to do.”

“And if you change your mind,” Cam added quietly, “there’s nothing wrong with that.”

The reminder that I had a choice in it was a relief.

Chapter 26

Grace

Icut off the water and heard voices echo from the living room. There were three distinct voices. It felt like they were plotting. I bet they were planning every little thing that each of them would do to me because I caused all of their problems.

I wrapped a towel around me, straining my ears to see if I could get a hint of what I had coming to me. Sure, I could object. I could say no. I could turn tail and run home. It would be easy to do that. I wouldn’t have to worry about it.

If I ran, it would be taken the wrong way. Besides, how often had they slapped my ass and it had been okay? Sure, there was a sharp burn each time, a sting that wasn’t necessarily bad, but there had been so many other things to distract from it. From the way Adam had talked, there wouldn’t be other things going on.

Unless they tried out edging. I bit my lip. The longer I stayed in here, the more obvious it would be that I was scared.
