I deflated, bowing so that my brow hit the coffee table. “I’m sorry.” I wished I could melt into the carpet. This was just another item on the list of things that made me an asshole.

“I guess admitting to it is better than you just being suspicious,” Adam said. He came around the table and crouched beside me. “You let your brother get in your head. I think the only one that can ruin this from here is you.” His hand went into my hair, tugging it up as he could see my profile. “I was satisfied with just the idea of spanking you. That’s enough for me.”

“I guess I just earned a few more licks,” I said, not bothering to pick my head up off the table. “Assuming you’re not done with my shit.”

“I’m good with just slapping at that ass,” he chuckled. “But I just need you to understand. I’m here to fuck you, not fuck you over. I don’t want to hurt you, physically or mentally.” He leaned in close, brushing a kiss against my cheek. “For this to go anywhere, for it to be anything more than sex, have some trust.”

I sighed. “I don’t deserve something good to come out of this.”

“Fuck what you deserve. Quit worrying about what you deserve and just enjoy what you have,” he said to me, staying close. “You started this for a shitty reason, sure. But you weren’t trying to hurt us, were you?”

“No,” I whispered.

“Then stop worrying about it,” he said. “Come to bed and I can give you something better to worry about.”

I turned my head so I could look at him. “Can you say the same for Darius?”

“Darius isn’t gonna try to knock you up either,” he said seriously. “Understand, with babies comes a massive price tagthat essentially ties you to a person for a long period of time.” He shifted, so he sat next to me, leaning against me. “I don’t mind the idea of something long term with you. I’m sure Cam is probably on the same page. Darius, I can’t speak for him. You’ll have to ask him.” He let go of my hair, but drug his fingers through it as he spoke. “I’m sure there are guys that are dumb that trap a girl with a baby. But a baby isn’t really a trap for just one person.”

I hummed. “I’d be a terrible mom.”

“Yeah, I’d be a shit dad too.” He sighed. “It means we need to keep Cam around. He’s all about that responsibility.”

“Nope,” Cam said from the couch. “If I’m raising anyone’s kids, they’re mine.”

“Did you give him this line of questioning yesterday?” Adam asked, ignoring the other man.

“Shay did,” I told him. “She didn’t play or beat around the bush.”

“Why do you still look like this?” he asked.

“I feel bad,” I admitted. “Kyle definitely got in my head, but he was right. This was supposed to be something fun that didn’t linger. I wasn’t supposed to get attached, and I wasn’t supposed to worry about the consequences of my actions.”

“But you do,” Adam said with a slight grin. “And you feel bad.” He leaned into me, whispering now. “It sounds like you caught feels there, Gracie.” His fingers tightened around a strand of hair. “If that’s the case, you need to stop worrying about what might happen and just live in the moment. Nobody here is gonna do anything that would intentionally harm you.”

“You’re not mad at me?” I asked him.

“Nah.” He leaned more heavily into me. “This was probably something I needed, so I didn’t do something stupid.” His brows furrowed, and he kept petting my hair. “But I think I want you to stay the night.”

“For sex?” I prompted.

“I enjoy sleeping against you,” he said easily. “If sex happens, great, I won’t complain. If not, same.” His green eyes darkened as they swept over my face. “You’re probably not the only one that caught feels.”

“You?” I asked. It came out in a whisper.

“Nah,” he said, nodding toward the couch. “Definitely Cam.”

“Are we gonna go get a change of clothes?” Cameron asked, still on the couch. “Or do you just want to take her back to the bedroom?”

“A change of clothes can wait,” I said, picking my head up from the table. “Right now, the only thing I can think that I want to do first is this.” I closed the short distance to kiss Adam. I put a hand on his thigh, because it felt like I needed this. The reassurance, the affection, and the attention.

Adam readily gave it to me, urging my lips open so his tongue could wrap around mine. He took the hand I had put on his thigh and shifted it down, so I ended up cupping his growing erection. I didn’t resist the prompting he gave me. I stroked him through his slacks.

“I’m gonna clean up,” Cam announced as he got up, “and you can decide whether you want to go back to the bedroom.” He picked up the bags from his and Adam’s dinner. “When I get done, I’ll join in.”

“Get the provisions,” Adam demanded, before he pushed me back against the floor. “This good?” he asked between kisses as he shifted over me.

“As long as I can stand in the morning, that’s all that matters,” I said without pulling away.
