I couldn’t agree more.

I watched her sleep in my arms, her contented sigh making my heart skip a beat.

I’d never been so happy to wake up and find a woman in my bed.

This woman.

Abbie was special. So damn special.

I decided right then and there I’d do whatever it took to keep her there, with me.

I’d been an idiot to ignore my feelings for so long.

For not taking a chance on seeing what we could be.

I needed to figure out how to make this work. How to keep her with me.

Whatever it took, I was willing to do it.

Abbie had been the one I loved for so long. I’d probably fallen in love at first sight, that moment all that candy had spilled out of her purse, that blush had colored her cheeks, her shy smile, the way her eyes twinkled when they met mine.

I was a goner.

Then and now.

Abbie was the one I’d compared every single woman I met to.

She was the reason every relationship ended and fell short. No woman was like her. No woman could make me laugh, make me smile, make me be myself.

I sighed and rolled on my side.

I liked this; hell, Ilovedthis.

I wrapped my arms tighter around her, letting my eyes close as sleep finally won out again. Our time was our own, and if we wanted to spend the entire day right there where we were, we could.

We would.

And I wouldn’t mind it...not one bit.

I woke up to Abbie leaning over me, her hair tickling my bare chest. I opened my eyes to see her smile, her face mere inches from mine.

“Hey, sleepyhead.”

“I was awake before.”

“I know. I felt.” She giggled.

I smirked up at her. “Why don’t you stay here? I’ll get us some coffee, and we can plan our day.”

She moved to her side, wrapping the sheet around her body. “What do you have in mind?”

“Coffee first, thoughts later?”

“I like that idea.”

“Give me a few minutes.”
