Me:I need your advice
I chewed my bottom lip in thought for a moment, debating on whether or not to hit send, but she was the only one who knew Abbie as well as I did.
I took a deep breath and hit send.
It didn’t take two minutes before her notification popped up on the screen.
Marnie:Smart man :)
I chuckled to myself.
Me:She’s stubborn
Marnie: That’s Abbie. What’s going on?
She’s mad
What did you do?
Hired a guide
Female?
She’s JUST a guide
Your vacation was supposed to be the two of you not Abbie playing third wheel
I’m not interested in anyone
But Abbie?
I hesitated.
Silence is deafening :)
I’m friend zoned Marnie... we all know that
You’re her best friend. Give her time.
I need Santa...
How about Mrs. Claus?
What do you suggest?
Make a move...
I sighed to myself, rubbing my forehead as I put the phone down on the bed beside me, its glow lighting up the room even more.Make a move...It could either backfire into the biggest disaster ever and blow up in my face, or turn into the Christmas miracle I was craving. I grabbed the phone again.
Thanks Marnie
Anytime
I swiped to close out the text messages, reminded myself to delete that in the morning, just in case Abbie went through my phone for some reason, which alone would be a miracle that we were talking again.
Make a move.
I wasn’t sure how well that was going to work when it didn’t feel like she was going to speak to me anytime soon. I rubbed the back of my neck tiredly. Maybe I’d grab a cold beer and head to bed and try to talk some sense into her later. Maybe she’d be more sensible in the morning.
