I cupped the back of his neck, lifting myself up slightly, and kissed him back, letting out every single pent-up need I had in that kiss. My fingers wove through his wet hair, pulling him closer, ever so closer, our bodies pressed tighter together then they ever had been.

Heated skin to heated skin.

I couldn’t get enough of him as his hands went around me, moving me even more flush against him. My thoughts were cloudy as his hands touched me in places they never had before. His touch was different, gentle, soft, as his hands found my curves. I kissed him again, suddenly giving in to the need that had been there for so long.

His hand started skimmed my bare hip, shifting me closer and leaving a trail of electricity and goosebumps in its wake. I’d been straddling his leg before as he kept me against the wall of the pool, the warm water lapping at us, the warm night air a caress as the breeze moved above us.

His mouth on my neck, nibbling here and there, teasing my overheated skin as he moved lower. He was good—I’d give him that.

My breathing slowed, coming out in short, raspy bursts, never letting me feel like I could breathe completely. I closed my eyes, giving myself over completely to the sensations he was giving me, that burning desire to have him…the electricity dancing across my skin everywhere he touched, the rest of my body impatiently waiting to come alive under his touch.

I put my hands on his toned chest, feeling his heartbeat beneath my fingertips, its pace picking up as I moved my fingers across the warm expanse of skin, smiling to myself as I felt the muscles contract under my feather-light touch.

He looked up at me from beneath his dark eyelashes, his eyes almost the color of the sky overhead. A darkness filled with something I’d never seen before from him.

Pure unabashed want.

His breath was coming out ragged as our gazes met, his heart rate picking up again under my touch.

I leaned my forehead against his, my breath erratic.

Hungry.

Needing the air in my lungs like I needed him.

Needed.

Demanded.

Craved.

My gaze dropped away from his, our breathing starting to match.

I traced his lips with my gaze, soft and ready, tempting me to lean in for another heated kiss.

Another hungry promise of what was to come.

His hand slid down my hip, trailing slowly down, angling my leg around his waist, his fingers running up my thighs.

Our bodies moved even closer. “I need you, Abs…” he whispered.

And that’s when the spell broke.

Too fast…

Way too damn fast…

Another minute or two, hell another breath or two, another look, and I knew exactly where this was going.

I couldn’t flip a switch like that.

As much as I maybe, maybe, truly deep down wanted to.

The reality started to hit.

What wasIdoing?

What werewedoing?
