“Don’t come yet, Nadia,” he said in a husky tone.

Pulling on my hips, he rammed inside of me to the hilt. I moaned, and his sexy moans were just as loud as he fucked me, taking my breath with every hot thrust. He slapped my ass hard as he pumped, and a wave of ecstasy covered me.

“Oh, Paul. Paul!” I kept saying his name over as I rode out my orgasm, and his throbbing cock continued to drill into me. His hand dug into my waist as he shook against me, spilling his hot seed inside me. Finally, he pulled me back to sit on his lap and held me.

“I can’t get enough of you, Nadia. I’m going to need you to take me, baby.”

I soon discovered that Paul meant he’d fuck me for hours. He was insatiable, and I was just as frantic to have him back on methe second our bodies parted. It was as if we were both seeking each other, needing each other.

When we became exhausted from our fucking, he picked me up and carried me up a winding staircase to his bed, which was more like a floating cloud. We rested, wrapped up in each other’s arms.

Sometime later, I woke up in total darkness. When I turned on the lights and explored the bedroom, I was surprised to find I had a closet with clothing here.

Paul had planned for me to spend time with him in LA, which made my heart swell with happiness. Our time together seemed intermittently effortless—no pressure on building a relationship. He created his terms on what he wanted with me. Yet most of the time, the arrangement meant to enjoy his life of luxury with him. He was lonely and isolated in his vast wealth and success. Still, it was only natural that I wanted more of the man and not the material.

I thought about us as I took a shower and changed into a wraparound sundress. The silk pattern was white and blue floral and looked wonderful on me.

Skipping the shoes, I padded down the winding staircase and found a large chef’s kitchen with a refrigerator. It had enough ingredients to make perogies atfour a.m.I laughed to myself.Dad told me he cooked for Mom, and she fell in love with him.Could I reach Paul’s heart the same way?

I didn’t know, but knowing he would eat my food filled me with joy.

I took a mixing bowl, potatoes, eggs, flour, and cream cheese.

“You’re awake…and cooking?” Paul’s voice called from the entrance.

He changed as well and now had on a black V-neck T-shirt with a pair of jeans. His feet were bare when he came around to stand behind me.

He kissed my neck and looked inside the pot heating on the burner. I inhaled his scent, smelling his shower gel.

“I’m making us perogies. It’s my dad’s recipe from Poland.”

“You didn’t have to cook. I have a private chef—”

“In the middle of the night? That’s rude to wake someone up just because I’m hungry, Paul,” I admonished. “Besides, I want to cook for you.”

My pulse quickened as I waited for Paul’s response.

“Well then, if Nadia wants to make perogies, then we eat Nadia’s perogies.” He kissed my neck and shoulder. “What should I do? I can’t sit here and do nothing.”

I stirred the mixture and covered it with a towel. “You do plenty. Just relax.”

He smiled, but I could see his struggle with just sitting there. “I’ll open the wine.”

I laughed. “Okay.”

Paul sat and sipped wine, watching my every move around the kitchen as I prepared the perogies.

I did every part of the preparation with care, wanting so much for him to love it. “Tell me what you’ve been working on over the last week. If you can, that is.”

“I can. Let’s see…I composed a ballad that I’m thinking would be perfect for Sky.”

“She sings trip-hop, folktronica?” I asked as casually as I could. Paul’s face lit up, and my heart skipped a beat at getting the reaction I’d hoped for. Since Paul had spent so much time making sure he knew what I liked and my passion for design, I devoted time to learning his music. Sky had become my newest favorite.

“You’re familiar with Sky?”

“She reminds me of Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLachlan. You know I’m old-school.”

He grinned broadly and lightly tapped the counter. “Yes…yes. She has that magic.” He was thinking of pairing her with the rap to bring more grit to the song. “I’ve done it before with great success. I’ll play it for you soon.” He always became so animated when he talked about his songs and the artists he planned to sing them. I loved it.
