Chapter 1

Christian

“Baby, you’reonmycamera side; I think we should switch places.” Gigi whines.

“You have a camera side?”

“I’m a model, honey. It’ll be a crime if I don’t know it.”

She buried her face in front of her phone throughout this conversation; I do not know how she knows I was even on her ‘camera side.

Gigi, my fiancée, had her team call the paparazzi that we would come in prior before getting off the plane. They were already stationed outside with their cameras to capture New York city’s favorite billionaire son and billionaire architect holding hands with their sweetheart model, Gigi Rowland, while they exited their private plane for a pre-honeymoon vacation. Like Gigi called it.

We were getting married in a few months, and she’d been clamoring for a vacation. I was too busy with work to take time off. My architectural firm had just gotten a major two-year contract that would skyrocket my net worth further down the billion-dollar mark I crossed a year ago.

Leaving my father’s company to start my firm had been one of the most challenging decisions of my young adult life. It had also turned out to be the best. Although, my parents were against the idea.

See, they had groomed me straight out of preschool to take over my father’s company. It was more of a business conglomerate. My father had his hands in every business imaginable; real estate, manufacturing, and media, and the man even owned a pharmaceutical company. But since I was a kid, I’ve loved to create something out of nothing. I loved art, but it was never challenging enough for me. I found my calling in architecture, and my dad had seen it as a hobby until I started on my own.

Of course, his company was still worth more than mine; he’d had to build his empire decades before I was even born. I was making mine now, and although we still worked together, he never failed to mention that I had betrayed him by branching out against his will.

Gigi’s hands curled into mine, and she hid her sunglasses face in my shoulder as we walked past the paparazzi, my bodyguards shielding us from the craziness.

It was all a front; she called them and then acted like they were a nuisance to her. I was used to my fiancée’s shenanigans but I loved her all the same. She was a go-getter like me. The highest-paid model in the world, even though her beginning was not been as rosy as mine.

As we got into the car, the driver drove away from the tarmac speedily, and I felt Gigi relax beside me.

“I don’t get you sometimes,” I say, turning to her. “Why call them when you don’t even want them there?”

“It’s publicity, Christian. My career thrives on publicity. We can’t all be privacy-obsessed and still make billions like you.”

I hear the bite in her voice, which I ignore, turning her to me with my hands cupping her cheeks. She was so beautiful that even after three years together; her beauty still amazed me.

Her eyes were a bright ocean blue; its effect against her platinum blonde hair was dramatic, giving her an almost ethereal kind of beauty. No wonder all the famous brands fought for her to be in their shows. She knew just how sought after she was, which accounted for her pride and high maintenance.

I was high maintenance myself, wanting only the best things money could buy; our vacation to the most exclusive ski resort in Aspen is a testament to that. So, of course, I never judged her for her exquisite taste; we’d both worked hard for it.

I ignored her words and changed the subject instead. I knew how touchy she was about her career. She was just thirty-one and already acted like she was pushing fifty. According to her, her days in the spotlight were numbered, making her angry.

“You know I was just kidding, right? I meant nothing by my statement,” she said when I said nothing to her jab.

“I know, baby,” I say absentmindedly as I stare at the email from my best friend and work partner, Jamie. He’d just gotten the blueprints to the building we would work on for the next two years and the contract, and he’d forwarded it to my mail.

I was going through it when I felt Gigi’s lips on my neck.

Whenever she did or said something she knew was mean, she tried to backtrack using seduction or sex. Her body was excellent, and the sex was phenomenal, and she knew that never failed to work on me.

But it wasn’t now.

“You’re ignoring me.” She whispers, pressing another kiss on my neck. Taking a soft bite and then licking. I was hard almost instantly and could not control that, but I wasn’t in the mood.

“I’m not. Jamie just sent me a few documents I need to go through.”

She ignores my words, and her hands trail down my chest to cup my already hard dick.

“He’s not.” She whispers with a sly smile as she nods at my straining cock.

“Did you just call my cock a ‘he’?” I said with a smile, and hers widened.
