“You’re saying you were attracted to me from the very first day?”
“Do you not believe it?”
“I don’t know. I’m just surprised, is all; why me?”
He paused for a long while, looking at me. I wanted to look away from the intenseness of his gaze, but I could not seem to.
“You’re everything.”
We spent the better part of the night in each other’s arms, and after the third time, I lost count of the number of times he made me come.
Chapter 15

"Youarethebesthost ever, man." Jonah's voice booms, and I smiled.
"You have Alba to thank, not me. I did nothing other than spend time with you assholes." I replied.
"Thank you, Alba," Jonah said to Alba, who was standing on one staircase while we bade my friends goodbye as they made their journey back to the city.
Roger was driving them to the airport, where my family's private jet was waiting to take them back home.
"Call me when you're ready to settle down with me, Alba. Age ain't nothing but a number." Jonah continued to mess around, and we all chuckled at his antics.
"I'm not sure you're man enough for me," Alba responded, and Jonah grips his chest comically like he'd been shot.
"You wound me, woman." He said.
I smiled and turned towards the house. Vanessa was with Beanie, and I could see them through the opened door in the hallway. She tried to get him to follow her out, but Beanie had other ideas. I smiled at them, feeling my heart constrict in my chest.
Last night had been like nothing I'd ever experienced, and I could not wait to have her in my arms again. She'd crept out of my bed early this morning, and I'd tried to get her not to, but she was insistent. Saying she did not want Alba to find her in there.
I couldn't give two fucks what Alba thought, but I understood her fear. She must have sensed that I was looking at her because she looked up just then to find me watching her, and she smiled.
I felt the constriction in my heart again, and I knew I was falling for her. I was free-falling, hard.
"Can I talk to you?" Elaine's voice disrupted my thoughts, and I looked away from the doorway towards her.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"Inside your study," she said, and without waiting for my reply, she walked inside; she ignored Vanessa and Beanie on her way in.
"Hey," Vanessa said to me when I walked in.
"Hey. Are you okay? After last night?"
She nodded while smiling, her cheeks turning a pretty shade of pink. I knew we still had a lot of talking and getting to know each other to do. But I would not fight it anymore.
"Is everything all right?" She asked, referring to Elaine, who'd just walked past. It was clear I was following her.
"Yeah, she just wanted to talk," I told her before walking away.
Inside my study, Elaine sat on my desk with her hands folded while she waited for me to come in.
"Is everything all right?" I asked, but she said nothing.
