The next morning, I found Nora relaxing in the hotel café. A single light seemed to shine on her among the masses almost giving her an angelic like appearance, a practical halo surrounded her dark head of hair that she’d gathered into a low bun at the nape of her neck. She was fresh faced, her honey toned skin glowing. She had half a bagel smeared with cream cheese—the white substance decorated with some sort of seasoning— in one hand and a pen tapping again her full lips with the other. Her glasses were back on her face as she stared at her laptop’s screen.

“Good morning,” I said, sitting down in front of her.

She looked up and offered a soft smile. “Good morning, Mason.”

I liked the way she said my name. I nodded and moved to get coffee, getting in line behind some loud Americans that seemed to be from the southern part of the United States. Inwardly, I cringed hoping that no one would think I was with them.

Slowly, the line trudged as the people became a blur and the tall metal coffee machines appeared with the Hyperion logo. White cups were placed above the coffee station, and I pulled one down, the satisfying sound of liquid gold filling it.

Sitting down at Nora’s table, she glanced up, still chowing down on the bagel that was now nearly gone.

“No creamer?” she asked, when I reached for two sugar packets in the middle of the table.

I shook my head. “Black.”

“Noted,” she shrugged.

The silver spoon that had been resting on a napkin stirred the coffee into a swirl and then I took a deep drink. Nora turned her laptop around for me to take in the screen.

“What’s all this?” Everything she was showing me seemed to be a jumble of pictures, and at the center was Gisella.

Nora nodded. “I finished up a lot of my work for the day already. Mr. DeLuca is scheduled and as such….I wanted to plan out our day.”

My eyebrow raised and I saw Nora shrink back just a little. “Our day?”

“Well, I could go shopping. I think there’s a Hermes not too far from here.”

I continued to stare.

Finally, Nora rolled her eyes. “Okay, so you need my skills.”

“I don’t,” I replied. “I can find Gisella on my own, thank you very much.”

Nora leaned back in her seat, then. My eyes took notice of a bit of cream cheese resting against her lip that she clearly didn’t know was there. A frown wound its way onto her face. My thoughts immediately turned nasty at all the things I could do to her.

You could decorate her face in the exact same way,the dark voice started up as I imagined dragging my dick across her cute face.

“Interesting,” she remarked.

“What?” My eyes wouldn’t leave the cream cheese, it was balanced there so delicately.

“You say her name like you two were…”

My own face morphed into a frown. “Like we were, what?”

The darkness stirring inside of me demanding things that were not for the public. With swift ease, I gathered up the napkin that had contained my silverware, stood and leaned across the table. The voice was going and I wanted so badly to tell Nora that I was a danger to her even in broad day light. Our eyes met and I saw confusion painted there.

“What are you doing?”

“You have something… just… there…”

My thumb traced over her lip ever so softly, pulling static electricity along behind it. The same energy I’d felt in her room just the night before was coursing around us again. Subtly, her mouth parted and I thought she might let out a moan but the moment passed quickly and I swiped at the cream cheese.

“There,” I said and sat back down.

I popped the napkin onto the table and watched as she shook herself out of a reverie.

“Thanks,” her reply came out softly, and a slight blush eased onto her features, her brown eyes closing shyly.
