“Close the curtains,” she groans and I squint over to the window.

“It’s too far.”

Eden whimpers and I groan as we both huddle in the bed.

“Why did we drink so much last night?” she asks after a few minutes.

“The freaking Blue Man Group.”

This is hilarious to Eden and she giggles before she winces and holds my arm closer to her eyes.

“Don’t make me laugh.”

“I’ll try, but we both know that I’m hilarious.”

Eden laughs at that and then elbows me in the side.

I can’t remember being this hungover in all my life and I’m miserable.

“We should order coffee. We should order all of the coffee,” Eden says, struggling to sit up. “You do it. You’re closer,” she says when she sees the hotel phone on my side of the bed.

I keep my eyes closed and feel around for the phone. I can hear things falling off of the nightstand, but I’m in too much pain to open my eyes and see what they were. Finally, I find the phone, hit the front desk button, and hold it to my ear.

Big mistake.

“Bellagio front desk! How may I help you?” comes the cheery voice and I try to bite back the curse as I yank the phone away from my ear.

Eden groans next to me on the bed and I try to pass the phone to her. She smacks my hand away. I try to glare at her but my eyes are still squeezed shut against the bright sunlight pouring in through the window.

“Hello?” the cheery voice on the phone rings out and I suck it up and bring the receiver back to my ear.

“Coffee,” I rasp, frowning.

When the hell did I forget how to use complete sentences?

“I’m sorry, sir?”

“Can we get coffee?” I try again and she’s all too happy to transfer me to room service.

I groan, waiting for someone else to pick up.

“Room service.”

“Hi, can we get coffee in the honeymoon suite?”

“Of course, sir. We’ll have it up to you shortly. Anything else we can get you?”

“Order all of the coffee,” Eden mumbles into the mattress and I try to hand her the phone again.

“Tell him yourself.”

She pushes my hand away, stealing my pillow again and burying her head under it.

“Tell him what you just told me,” I try again.

“Stop yelling,” she groans.

“That will be it,” I say into the phone, letting the receiver drop back down into the cradle with a loud clatter.
