Cora falls in line behind me as we make our way over to the grills and the tables full of food. “Who’s going to eat all this?” she questions, looking down at the large spread in front of her. Plates of ribs, burgers, and steaks take up the majority of the first table. The second has all the sides.

“You have no idea how much these guys can pack away.” I look up to see Blair coming from the inside of the house. The fact that my house was unlocked would be something to ask about later, since I sure as hell hadn’t left a hideaway key anywhere, nor did anyone else have a copy but me. My gaze falls to her round belly, where her hand rubs around it in a circle. “If this baby is a boy, he’s going to eat us out of house and home.”

“Cora, this is Blair. She’s GP’s fiancé.”

“Hey there,” Blair greets cheerfully. “I wish I could’ve come up to Sturgis, but GP wouldn’t let me ride that long.” She rubs her belly, smiling wide. “You’d think as much as he or she kicks, they wanted to go too.”

“Where’s that old man of yours at, anyway? Judge let him out of the doghouse yet for that little incident while we were gone?”

“Heard about that, huh?”

“Oh yeah. Hash gave me all the dirty details. Good news is, you guys won’t be stuck with babysitting duty again.”

She barks out a laugh. “That’s one way of looking at it. As for that man of mine, he’s over there, setting up the karaoke machine.” She points over to the other side of the yard where I spy GP and V working on something.

“Karaoke, you say?” Cora beams up at me. “TK loves karaoke.”

“The fuck I do.”

Blair gasps. “I didn’t know that. I didn’t even know you could sing.”

Cora bursts out laughing. “He can’t, and that’s the best part.”

“I am not singing, Cora. That was a one-time thing, and it ain’t ever happenin’ again.”

Blair looks at Cora, and they both start to giggle.

“Oh yes, you are. I missed most of your last performance, and I want to see the whole thing.”

“If I remember correctly, that was your own fault.”

“Maybe so, but what better way to welcome me to our new home?”

“No, Cora, I’m not doing it, so drop it.”

Cora doesn’t drop it, even after I try to distract her by making the rounds to all the tables after we eat, or when Harrison nearly fell asleep with his head on the dinner plate. I’d taken him inside to settle him on my bed before I returned to find Cora sidled up with GP and a binder, looking right at me.

“Picked this one just for you, baby.”

“I said no.”

“And I said yes. You get up there and sing for me, I’ll sing for you later.” She gives me a sultry wink. Even as mad as I want to be, the smile on her face makes the sting of embarrassing myself in front of my club hurt just a little less.

“Fine. Give me that fucking microphone.” She extends it out to me, and I snatch it from her hand. “This is all for you.”

The music starts playing, and I fucking lose it.

“Really, Cora? “I’m Too Sexy”?”

“Sing it, baby! I want to see you shake those hips.”

“Yeah, me too,” V chimes in, waving a dollar bill in his hand. “Got more of these for you, big guy, if you shake your ass for us.”

“Just remember, you asked for this.”

The lyrics pop up on the screen, and I belt out the fucking awful song she picked. I cringe at my own voice, but I don’t stop. She wanted this, so she’s getting it. I dip low, twerking my ass, thrusting my hips, and singing so off key, I hear one of the neighbor’s dogs howl. The faces of the crowd are a mix of the ladies laughing at me, and my brothers shaking their heads in disgust. The song finally ends, and I bolt away from that mic, straight to Cora.

She kisses me through the wide smile on her lips.
