To my horror, Casey passed out, and the doctor finally got close.

“Now, why are you out of bed, Aurora Victoria?” Ace asked, turning to me with a scowl.

“Casey needed me.”

“Casey needs an ass-kicking, but she’s being looked after. It’s your turn. Let’s get you back,” Ace said.

Ace began guiding me out, ignoring my protests, and handed me to Axel. Beyond miffed, I climbed back in bed, folded my arms, and glared at Axel as he ignored me and relaxed in a chair. Fine!

I was discharged two hours later, full of cuts and bruises. The doctors mentioned for me to take it easy. I hung around the waiting room with Rage and Casey’s dad. Her mother had been somewhere and was driving back. I wasn’t really paying attention. Hours ticked past, and finally, we were told Casey was stable and in recovery. Jacob, Casey’s father, insisted Casey share a room with Mac, and the hospital caved. As soon as the doctor said Jacob could see her, he darted down the hallway.

To my distaste, I heard several of the old ladies making comments about Casey, and I didn’t like what they were saying. Marsha kept trying to engage me in conversation, but hearing Lindsey run her mouth really put me off. Lindsey had no idea what had gone on, and while I understood she was consumed with worry over Mac, Lindsey was out of line. Her husband, Lowrider, tried calming her down, but Lindsey paced back and forth and couldn’t settle until we finally got word Mac was okay and in recovery alongside Casey.

Drake was the first one down the hallway to wait with Mac. I wanted to see Casey, so I settled for a long wait. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Klutz keep checking me. While I longed to be in his arms and let him comfort me, I knew if I gave in, Rage would near enough kill him. I was fully aware of the rule around princesses, and I had no intention of costing Klutz anything. Klutz deserved the goodness coming his way, and just because I felt lost, it didn’t mean I could steal his future.

My phone pinged, and I looked down and noticed a message from Klutz. On opening it, I smiled slightly when I saw what he’d written. Klutz told me to wait until we got out of here, and then when alone, he’d give me the hug I needed. I sent him a slight nod and saw his dark brown eyes warm. And that look of love Klutz expressed before turning away gave me more comfort than he knew.

Klutz

We celebrated Calamity’s promotion to full brother, and I was over the moon for him. Calamity had an inner glow, and I knew what this meant. He was finally going to claim Rosie. He’d not said much to me, but I noticed he was head over heels in love with her. And they made a sweet couple. Both shy and uncertain of each other I observed, as they skated around a relationship. But I realised what Calamity was doing. The kid wouldn’t claim Rosie until he was a full brother, which made sense.

As I watched, skanks appeared, and I winced. Neither Calamity nor I took part in what they offered, and we’d become targets for them. Calamity because he was in love with Rosie, and me because I’d too much medical knowledge to risk dipping my cock in one. And obviously, Aurora. But fuck me.

They headed straight over to us. Calamity and I tried to wriggle free of them, but Trudi was desperately trying to cling to me. Meanwhile, Charley and Liza were attempting to corner Calamity.

“Calamity said fuck off, do so,” Rosie yelled.

Silence fell over the room as the brothers suddenly realised the princesses were having a showdown.

“And Klutz said the same. Go find some other poor schmuck to screw!” Aurora snapped. She stepped up beside me, and I felt her twitching. Aurora was furious.

“Who do you think you’re talking to?” Liza growled, and I groaned.

Aurora, I’d learned, had a temper and wasn’t afraid to throw down. And neither was Rosie.

“I’m speaking to someone who only knows the language of being on her knees sucking cock. However, these two have made it very plain they don’t want your herpes-filled body anywhere near them. Take your STDs and walk away. Now!” Rosie seethed.

Shit, this was getting out of control. Calamity and I swapped glances and stepped close to her and Aurora.

“Rosie?” Texas called.

“You can’t talk to me like that!” Trudi screeched.

“Bitch, she wasn’t talking to you. How thick are you? Did you blow all your brain cells sucking cock?” Aurora asked bitchily, and I winced.

Yeah, Aurora was throwing down and wasn’t holding back.

Trudi let out an outraged shriek. Her hand came up, and she aimed a slap at Aurora, who didn’t flinch. Before the hit landed, I charged and had Trudi by the throat and lifted her off the floor.

“You don’t lay a fuckin’ finger on a princess!” I roared as anger raced through me.

Sounds of a scuffle were heard, and I spun around and saw Liza smack Rosie before Calamity could intercept. Rosie’s head moved at the force of the hit, and then she slowly turned and stared at Liza. Without a word, Rosie stepped forward and smashed Liza straight in the nose. The break was audible, but Rosie wasn’t Texas’s daughter for nothing. Raining blows and kicks, Rosie silently beat Liza to the ground and finished her with a kick. Not even panting, Rosie faced Charley, who paled and held her hands up.

“Klutz, let the bitch go before she chokes out,” Drake said quietly.
