But she wanted to. She needed to have more of him. They could worry about everything else later.

Jason shuddered as he slid a hand under the T-shirt and cupped her bare backside. “No underwear?”

“Well, it’s scattered around the house somewhere,” Elena panted. She grabbed his hand and moved it between her legs. “That’s where I want you.”

His eyes never left her as he thrust two fingers inside her, his thumb rubbing her swollen nub. Elena gasped and her whole body jerked. She felt so sensitive after the night before that her body seemed primed to come apart already. Either that or Jason had magic fingers.

Maybe it was a bit of both.

“God, Elena,” Jason growled as he started kissing her neck. “I don’t know how to keep my hands off you.”

She found herself smiling. “Then don’t…”

Her whole body shook as she came, everything exploding before spreading out. Her legs buckled, and Jason caught her, his hand disappearing from her body as he hoisted her onto the counter. The coldness of the countertop made Elena gasp, mixing in with her orgasm and freezing her into shock. Her gasps were swallowed by Jason’s lips as he kissed her, plunging his tongue into her mouth and tangling with hers. She clutched his shoulders, wriggling closer to grip him with her legs. What was it about him that made her want to be taken in a frenzy?

Jason reached between them and undid his jeans, still kissing her. The feel of his cock filling her had Elena’s eyes rolling back in her head, and she forgot how to think as he began to rut into her, keeping her precariously on the edge of the counter. She clutched onto him, biting his lip, scratching his back, as her body shook. He was taking her, and she was losing control of herself.

And she didn’t want it to stop.

She wasn’t sure which one of them came first, but when her orgasm hit again, Elena came apart. She felt loose, her body sagging against Jason as he held her, trembling himself. Or was that all her? Elena didn’t know anymore; her head was spinning too much to figure out what was going on.

For a while, he held her, cradling her in his arms as they both got their breath back. Finally, he spoke.

“I think we’d better get back to bed.” He tilted her head back, his eyes fixed on hers. “It’s a bit more comfortable.”

Elena realized that she was smiling. She put her arms around his neck. “For how long?”

“For as long as I can manage.” Jason hoisted her off the counter, his cock still inside her as he wrapped her legs around him again. “If we’re going to do this, I’m going to make sure you know that I’ve taken you over and over.”

That was normally a little too possessive for Elena’s liking. But, this time, she didn’t care. She just wanted more of this.

It was definitely one way to celebrate.

CHAPTER15

JASON

TWO MONTHS LATER

Another win. Jason wondered if he was in another universe. The Wolves had managed a third win in a row. Liam was still playing part of the game instead of the whole thing, but he and Adam had a good partnership going. They were working together to get everyone motivated, and it was paying off. Even Carl was impressed.

At least the players were starting to pick up their pace. Apparently, the last couple of seasons it had taken a lot longer than this to get into their stride. They would have been lucky if they won half of their games; the first half was always bad. Now the players were switched on earlier, and they were getting the results.

Jason liked to think he had something to do with it, but he didn’t want to get too cocky. That was all down to Carl and the support staff; they were the ones to praise, not him. He was just making sure they were financially stable. If the club took all of his money to make them top of the league and get promoted, Jason would do it.

They just had to carry this on for the rest of the season. Jason hoped that they could. Just like he hoped that the fans would see how well the Wolves were playing and soften their approach towards him; he was getting fed up with the hate mail still coming in.

It was frustrating that he was doing everything to build up the team, and the people around them were against it. Did they not want the team to succeed? Jason couldn’t understand it. There were times when he felt like he was walking around with a permanent headache.

A knock at the door had him looking up, and Melinda stuck her head around the door. Jason frowned.

“What is it? I thought I said I didn’t want to be disturbed.”

“Kenneth Barron is here. He wants to talk to you.”

Jason didn’t really want to talk to Kenneth; the guy was a cocky brat who thought he was amazing because he played football. Jason did his best to avoid him, especially since he was one of the main people vocally against Jason’s involvement.

Even though he could send Kenneth away, Jason had to admit that his curiosity was raised. He saved his work and sat back.
