“What?” Axle asked.
“Well, I think I’m pregnant.”
The look of shock on Axle’s handsome face turned into the widest smile she has ever seen.
“Well, this day turned around into being one of the best ones in an instant,” Axle said picking her up and kissing the hell out of her.
Epilogue
The air smelled of sulfur and ash, and in the distance the screams and screeches of otherworldly creatures cut through the air. A well-worn boot walked over the ashen world, kicking aside bones, decaying flesh, and dirt as it made its way to the ruins at the top of a hill. Purple lightning flashed across the sky, followed by a loud thunderclap that caused some bird-like creature to fly off in fear.
Garret stood at the top of the ruins, looking up at the throne in the center of the structure. It had once been a palace, and the ruler now had plans to return it to its former glory. Garret was going to help make sure that happened, and the plan was in full effect.
“My lord, I bring you what you have asked of me,” Garret said in a loud voice, dropping to a single knee and raising the object in the air.
The green aura of the bracelet emanated as a decaying arm stretched out to take it.
