Page 47 of Peppermint's Twist

Nico surges inside of me, his hips flying and pinning me to the wall. His thrusts are brutal and in complete contrast to the way he nuzzles my cheek with his nose. Nico is a hard man, but soft when it matters.

I’m lost in the movement, in the blinding pleasure swirling through my system. I’m lost to him. And I don’t ever want to be fucking found.

Nico moves his hand between us to rub my clit, and the contact sends me soaring. My pussy contracts around him, taking from his cock whatever it wants. He thrusts one time, two times, and his body jerks with his release.

Panting, neither of us move. I lean my head against the wall and run my fingers through his damp hair. His cock slides out, and cum runs down my thighs.

“You are trulycuore mio,” he whispers.

My lips tip into a smile. “I love you too.”

Nico rears back. “What?”

I lift my head so I can look him in the eyes. “I didn’t want to. I made no bones about that. But somewhere between the daily morning texts and hearing you call me the mother of your child, it happened. It’s pointless to deny it. And honestly, I’m tired of fighting it.”

“You love me?”

I press a kiss to his lips and nod. “Yes, Nico, I love you.”

Tears gather in his eyes and when one spills over, I brush it away. Without a word, Nico carries me to the master bathroom where he sets me on my feet. After starting the bath water, he lifts me back into his arms and steps over the ledge to sink down into the tub.

Still, no words are spoken. Part of me worries that I fucked up, that I said the wrong thing, but then he touches me, cares for me, and all worry fades away. The water cools, so we get out and Nico dries me with a towel. After blow drying my hair for me, he carries me to the bed where he tucks us both under the covers.

“I love you too, Peppermint.”

“Rise and shine.”

I fling my arm over my eyes to block out the light. I’m exhausted and want nothing more than to stay under the covers.

“No,” I grumble. “No rise and no shine.”

“Yes,” Nico says flatly. “I even made your favorite breakfast.”

A weight settles above me, and the scent of pancakes and syrup assaults my senses. My eyes fly open, and I shove the tray of food away so I can rush to the bathroom. I drop to the tile floor with seconds to spare before my stomach revolts.

Much like Harlow did yesterday, Nico settles behind me and holds my hair back. I don’t think there’s much to worry about though because there is nothing in my stomach to throw up. Dry heaves wrack my body for what feels like hours.

“If this is what we’re in store for, we’re stopping at one child,” he says hotly when I lean against his chest. “I can’t stand watching you suffer.”

“You talk as if more children are a given.” Exasperation fills my tone. “Nico, we weren’t expecting this one.”

“No, we weren’t,” he agrees. “And now that we’re talking about it, we really do need to talk about it.”

I roll my eyes. He’s right, we do, but leave it to a man to say we need to do something we’re already doing.

“Okay.” I scoot forward. “But first, breakfast. I’m starving.”

“You’re…” Nico shakes his head as he pulls me to my feet. “Ya know what, never mind.”

I stare longingly at the pancakes on the bedroom floor. “Why does little nugget have to hate what I love?” I complain.

“Little nugget?”

I shrug. “That’s what Harlow was calling it.”

“It?”
