“I will, too,” Tácito says from behind me. “We’ll always look out for Sloane.”

Damian levels a speculative glare between me and Tácito. He doesn’t voice his thoughts, but I’m sure he’s wondering about his bet again. If he knew that he and Mary both won, I wonder what his reaction would be.

“Valentino,” Tácito says, “it’s time. Your brother is already waiting on us.”

I nod, secure in the knowledge that Sloane will be mine soon. Even with my father’s words from earlier, I know I have what it takes to keep her safe and in my arms.

Despite his cryptic parting words, Giulio DeLuca can’t touch me or mine ever again.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Valentino

I give Tácito the agreed upon sign as I lead Sloane to the outdoor dance floor for what will be our final dance. He nods and walks toward the house. Music plays in the background, but I have no idea what song is playing. All my attention is on the soft body within my arms; the woman who agreed to share my name and future with me.

As soon as she signed the papers joining her life to mine, the shackles constricting my chest shattered. For the first time in years, I breathed my first free breath, secure in my knowledge that I have won the woman I’ve been in love with since I was a child.

“Where is Tácito going?” Sloane asks.

I glance into her eyes, captivated by their warmth and acceptance. “He’s getting our room ready. Tonight, we fulfill our promise to you.” I kiss below her ear.

“I finally get to touch you however I want?”

I smile as she eagerly searches my face. “Unfettered access, but be warned, I doubt I’ll have sufficient restraint. Are you prepared to be ravished?”

“Ha! If anyone needs to be prepared, it’s you. For weeks you and Tácito have toyed with me, never giving me the d—”

“Be careful what you wish for, principessa.” I survey the lawn. Only a few people remain from the reception. I take her hand and lead her off the dance floor. “Let’s say our goodbyes now and start our wedding night on the right foot.”

After spending more time than I wanted to bid our guests good night, Sloane and I head towards our bedroom. Inside, lit candles illuminate every surface and red rose petals decorate the bed.

“You two took long enough.” Tácito strides toward us, hunger tightening his features. “I’ve waited all night to kiss our bride.” He cups Sloane’s face and lowers his mouth until he brushes their lips together.

Once.

Twice.

“Tácito,” she whimpers.

He moans and nibbles her mouth until she opens for him. Every promise I made to Sloane during our ceremony, Tácito now makes with their embrace. While they take the time they couldn’t in front of our guests, I pour each of us a glass of champagne. By the time I rejoin them, they stand panting and staring adoringly into each other’s eyes.

I hand a glass to each of them and raise mine in a toast. “To the three of us. Always and forever.”

“Always and forever,” they repeat and sip in celebration.

“So…um, how are we going to do this?” Sloane asks, looking between me and Tácito, who takes our glasses and rests them on a table before returning to stand in front of Sloane.

I follow his lead and sandwich Sloane between us, pressing my front against her back. My body responds with blood rushing to my dick with the soft graze of her ass. I take a moment to breathe and calm myself. I’ve held out, keeping her from touching me until tonight.

No torture has been as sweet and terrifying as having her within my arms and not allowing her the freedom to touch me at will. If I’d loosened the restrictions I placed on our play, I wouldn’t have lasted, would have broken my word to keep the sacredness I hold for our wedding night. I may be a sinner ninety-nine percent of the time, but in this I refuse to bend. Sloane is the altar of the only religion I recognize. How could I desecrate our union before its sanctification? I couldn’t and I’m glad I’ve held out for the real prize.

I whisper in Sloane’s ear while holding Tácito’s gaze, “We’re going to learn how to please each other. And since Tácito has been waiting so patiently for you through the years, I’m going to help you discover what he likes and help him discover what you like.”

“But haven’t we spent the last few weeks doing just that?”

She isn’t wrong. Morning and night, Tácito and I have made it our mission to bind her to us in sensual bonds, invisible to the eye, but deeply entrenched into her heart and soul.

“Consider tonight a deeper dive into our mutual education.” I caress the material separating our bodies. It too will not last, no matter how beautiful she shines wearing it.
