I held my hands up quickly. “No. No, I draw the line at make-up Elle. Thank you for this but we are going to be late.”

She dropped one hip, her hand resting on it dramatically and sighed. “Fine, but at least put on a little red lipstick to match the dress. Here.”

Deciding to meet her halfway, I took the designer lipstick and applied it quickly.

“Why do girls take so long to get ready?” Sani moaned from Elle’s bed.

“Do it once but do it properly!” Elenora smirked as she picked him off the bed. He gave her a confused look but then shrugged and walked out the room. Elenora and Soraya followed behind him and I inhaled a shaky breath. Please, please…let Giovanni be called away for business. I really did not want to see him tonight.Liar.

Giovanni

Cecilia Buccini was up to something. I could feel it. Her eyes kept glancing over at the door, waiting for God knows what, and she had that playful twinkle in her eye she only ever had when she was up to no good.

“Che cos'è, mamma?” I asked, but she just shrugged her shoulders and sipped her wine, averting her attention back to the double doors. We were sitting waiting for Elenora to come down with Sani and Raya as well as Maximus to arrive. He was the closest member to all my family and was often invited to our little family occasions. I was looking forward to seeing Elle. It had been a few weeks and she was my sorellina. We had always been close growing up, but in the last two years, as my workload and responsibilities increased and she had her own ambitions to do fine art at university, our relationship had become strained.

“Ah! La mia bella ragazza!” Mamma shouted as she jumped up from her chair and ran towards Elle, pulling her into her arms and kissing both her cheeks.

“Mamma,” Elle greeted her just as warmly. Sani and Raya came strolling in behind as I slowly stood up from my chair to make my way over to greet my sister. But a beauty in red had me frozen to the spot. I gripped the marble table so tightly my knuckles were turning white as my eyes took in Olivia’s incredible body in that revealing red dress. Her eyes met mine as she stood next to Elle and my heart increased to an unhealthy rate. She looked good enough to eat. And how I would fucking devour her if there was no one else in this room right now. Her gaze quickly darted away from mine as she smiled weakly at mamma who was already gushing over her and telling her how beautiful she looked. So, this was what mamma was up to. Inviting Olivia to the family dinner. But why? Was this a test after what she saw in the kitchen this afternoon? She wanted to try and work out what was really going on between us.

Having no choice but to shove my intense desire down into the pit of my soul, I stood broadly and approached them.

“Elle,” I smiled, giving her a kiss on each cheek.

“Jeez! Lay off the weights for a bit fratello! You look like Schwarzenegger more and more every day!”

I rolled my eyes and pulled her in for a hug anyway. My gaze found Olivia’s once more over Elle’s shoulder but she looked away quickly. Looks like we were both hiding our true desires tonight.

“Liv! Sit next to me!” Sani shouted from the chair he had already scooted himself onto. I groaned when I realised that would mean she would be sitting right next to me too. Taking my place at the head of the table, she stilled when she saw where he meant.

“It’s okay Sani. I am going to sit down at this end,” she replied with defiance, giving me a cold glare.

“But I am your prince, remember! The princesses always sit next to their prince!” He sulked, looking genuinely hurt. The whole room fell silent as we all took in the exchange between Sani and Olivia. Sani never shows any affection towards anyone but us and what is he going on about...prince? I watched as her resolve faltered and she gave into his puppy dog eyes.

“Of course. I forgot,” she muttered, giving him a smile and taking the seat on my left next to Sani. Mamma sat to the right of me as always and Elle sat next to her with Raya on the other side. The staff came and poured our wine as Elle started to chat a million miles an hour in Italian to mamma about her most recent art lecture. Olivia picked up her wine glass timidly and avoided looking in my direction at all. Leaning back in my chair to try and provide some much-needed distance between us, I couldn't help but glance down at her tempting cleavage in that dress. Every rise and fall of her chest as she breathed restricted her tits a little, causing them to strain against the fabric before falling back down. It was mesmerising and caused my dick to twinge in my trousers.

“Don’t you think we should talk in English while we have a guest for dinner?” I commanded, forcing my attention on my mother and sister.

“Oh yes! I’m so sorry Liv! I forgot you can’t understand Italian,” Elle apologised sweetly.

“It’s okay really! I don’t mind. I love listening to your language. It’s so... charming,” she smiled and my heart fluttered even though the smile was not directed at me. She liked hearing Italian... Maybe I should try that next time I am trying to get in her knickers. I smirked at my inappropriate thoughts. I really needed an electric shock device to punish myself every time I allowed this woman to enter my dirty fantasies.

“So Olivia,” Mamma started as I picked up my wine glass and brought it to my lips carefully. I never knew what was about to leave her mouth and it always had me on edge. “Why Italy?”

My shoulders relaxed slightly as the tension left them. At least she wasn't grilling her about me...yet. Hang on, why did I care how mamma was making this woman feel? I never have before.

“Well, honestly, it was more a question of why not. I had never been, fancied a change of scenery and I had always heard such wonderful things from people who had travelled here,” Olivia replied confidently and I couldn’t help but hang off her every word.

“What did you do back home?” My sister asked innocently, but I noticed the sudden tension in Olivia’s posture. I could sense that the question had put her on edge, but why? What was she hiding?

“Not much really. I am from a small village outside London where there wasn’t really much going on, so I was happy to get out of there and head to university to learn to be a teacher,” her voice remained calm but there was definitely hesitancy to it. I have undertaken enough interrogations in my time to spot the signs when somebody isn't being 100% truthful.

“But there was a long gap between your A levels and starting university, wasn’t there? Two years?” I questioned. I couldn’t help it. I needed to find out more about this woman. I wanted to know who she was.

She visibly swallowed and glanced my way, but her expression was nothing but ice cold. She loathed me. I could see the icicles of hatred glimmering behind her eyes.

“Gio! That is none of your business! Don’t answer him if you don’t want to!” Elle jumped to her defense but I didn't take my eyes off hers in challenge.
