I smirked. “It’s extremely small-minded to presume you wouldn’t like it if you haven’t experienced it, don’t you think?” She paused on the carpeted steps up to the plane and gave me a deadly look.

“Are you set on making this trip a living hell for me?” She whisper-yelled as we approached the entrance to the jet.

“Oh no bambola. Quite the opposite,” I winked and strolled past her onto the plane.

“Gio!” Sani ran down the champagne-coloured carpeted aisle towards me and I lifted him into my arms.

“Excited?” I asked, as his big eyes were so wide, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he’d had three espressos.

“YES! Where’s Liv?” He wriggled out of my arms as she stepped onto the plane.

“Charming,” I mumbled as he raced into her legs. She smiled down at him before looking around the deceptively big and extravagant interior of the plane. This was the most luxurious jet we owned, and I had chosen it especially. I knew Olivia was not accustomed to such a lavish lifestyle and I wanted to treat her. Make her see the way she could live if she chose to be with me.

“Olivia, looking as beautiful as ever,” Mamma said as she approached us, giving her a kiss on both cheeks. Olivia looked a little startled by the gesture but smiled politely.

“Thank you. You always look so elegant,” Olivia returned the compliment and I excused myself to speak to our pilot. After giving him the green light to start our journey, I walked back through the red curtains that barricaded my little family into the main living area and my eyes immediately searched for her.

I groaned internally when I saw she had already chosen her seat and Sani had taken the one next to her. Mamma and Raya were sitting on the long sofa to the side, so I took the single armchair. At least it was directly in front of Olivia, so I had a nice view. Honestly, I never thought my little fratello would be such a cock block!

Once we took off, the servers came round to take our drink orders and I was irritated to see that one of them was an airhostess I had let entertain me during a past flight. I don’t remember her name but she sure as hell made it obvious she remembered me with her flirtatious glances and batting of her eyelashes. I was on the phone to one of my Capo’s when she placed my whiskey down next to me on the table and inappropriately ran her hand over my chest and shoulder as she walked away. Glancing up at Olivia, I noticed her glare before she quickly looked away from me. A cute blush crept up her cheeks when I caught her watching me and I smirked. Did she see that? Was she jealous? I couldn’t help but feel a little elated that she might be.

It wasn’t long until both Raya and Sani were asleep. Sani had his little head resting on Olivia’s lap as she gazed out of the window and I felt ridiculous. I couldn’t help but feel jealous of a 6-year-old. Mamma stood up with Raya in her arms and carried her down to the end of the jet where there was a small cabin bedroom. She then came back for Sani.

“I’m just going to take him to bed. He will be more comfortable,” Mamma said as she lifted Sani off Olivia. Olivia just smiled in response and as mamma turned, she gave me a look that said a thousand words. She was leaving us alone on purpose.Don’t screw it up. Was she really giving me the all clear to go for it with Olivia? I couldn’t work it out, but as soon as she was gone, I took my chance.

I closed my laptop and placed it on the floor before walking over to the now empty cream chair next to her. She saw me coming out of the corner of her eye but kept her gaze firmly on the white clouds in the sky. She shuffled slightly as I sat down, my broad shoulders brushing against hers. Time to charm the living daylights out of this woman.

Great. If I hadn’t known any better, I swear Cecilia had planned that. The air thickened with sexual tension and electric energy as Giovanni came and sat next to me on the super-soft, luxurious seats. I had never felt comfort like it. Everything on this plane screamed how the other side lived. It was dripping with wealth, and it made me feel a little uncomfortable and intimidated to be honest. I had gotten used to the extravagance of the Buccini mansion, but this was just another reminder of just how influential this family was.

I felt Giovanni lean on the arm of the chair that was the only thing separating us and he brushed his shoulder against mine. I shuffled away from him but there was nowhere for me to go as I squashed myself against the plane window. His delicious scent was making my head spin once again.

“So better than EasyJet?” I could hear the laughter in his tone without even looking at him.

“I suppose.”Short answers Liv. That’s good.He might leave me alone and allow me to breathe normally again if I don’t entertain him.

“You are one hard woman to impress,” he mumbled, and I scoffed loudly. I couldn’t help myself.

“Are you saying you are trying to impress me?” I turned my head towards him, which was my first mistake. He was so close to me. His chocolate eyes burned into mine and he smiled. That smile. It could make even the hardest of women weak at the knees.

“Of course. I am always trying to impress you.”

I chuckled in disbelief. “Yeah. Me and every other woman with a pulse.”

He didn’t laugh and when I turned my head again to look at his handsome face, it held a serious expression. “No. Only you.”

I gulped as our eyes locked and I felt that all too familiar excitement zapping through my body. Suddenly, we were interrupted by the red curtain moving to the side and that pretty air hostess that can’t keep her hands off Giovanni. I quickly returned to looking out of the window as she strutted towards us in her 6-inch heels. Why does she need to wear such big heels to hand out a few drinks?

“Posso portarti qualcosa, signore?” Her Italian voice slipped sexily from her lips as she fluttered her eyelashes with a seductive smile. I rolled my eyes. I had no idea what she said, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was “Would you like me to suck you off sir?”

“No,” came Giovanni’s curt response, which made me look up at the girl’s face. Just like I thought, her smile dropped, and she looked disappointed. Her blue eyes darted over at me, and she gave me a glare that would turn molten lava to ice. I chuckled under my breath as she walked away.

“Something funny?” Giovanni asked and I shook my head.

My curiosity reared its ugly head once more and I had to ask, “What did she say to you?”
