“You look good enough to eat. Be a good girl tonight and I just might have my fill later,” I whispered in her ear, moving her straightened, silky locks away from her shoulder.

She hit my chest playfully, but I could see that desire in her eyes. “Right, drink up Liv and let's get out of here! The clock is ticking and I know Gio will have set a timer,” Elle teased and I smirked at her. She was right.

Liv sat on the sofa and started to put her boots on. I was transfixed as I realised they rolled up her leg, above her knee. Sexy as fuck. I wanted to growl and take her to the bedroom so I could fuck her wearing just those but it would have to wait.

“What?” she questioned as she caught me watching her. “You are staring.”

“I am admiring.”

A small blush crept up her chest in that cute way it always does when she is flustered. She smiled confidently at me and my heart flipped. I held out my hand to help her stand up but immediately tugged her into my chest and kissed the life out of her. She wouldn’t be thinking of any other man after that kiss.

She blinked up at me dazed and I felt Elle’s impatient glare from the front door. “One hour, fifty-five minutes now!”

Olivia snapped out of her daze and giggled, walking away from me.

“I’ll see you then!” I shouted and she waved over her shoulder as they both walked out the door, giggling.

Now for the slowest one hour and fifty-five minutes of my life.

Turning Tables

Olivia

“So... you and my brother are looking pretty cozy,” Elle smirked across the tall bar table we were sitting at by the open fire. The bar had transformed into a warm, vibrant nightclub with live music, fire pits and heaters to keep us warm against the cold breeze.

“I guess,” I took a sip of my drink for something to do. I felt a bit awkward talking about Giovanni to her and I still didn’t know what exactly was going on between us.

She frowned. “You do like him, don’t you?”

I smiled into my wine glass and nodded. “Yeah. But... It's complicated. He is my boss and well...Giovanni. You warned me off him yourself, if you haven't forgotten!”

“No, he is not Giovanni with you. He is Gio. And I told you that if he ever showed you the real him you would be in trouble and here we are,” a ‘I told you so’ look was plastered all over her face.

I tilted my head to the side, “What’s the difference?”

“Oh, there is a difference. The fact that you can speak your mind in front of him without fear shows he is Gio with you.”

I frowned. “I am not following.”

“Giovanni is ruthless, intimidating and downright scary. Gio is sweet, playful and protective. That’s the difference and only a very select few get to meet Gio.”

That made sense. When I first met him, he was clearly in Giovanni mode, but he slowly let me see Gio. I guess he really was like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. “But who is the real him?”

She thought carefully before answering. “I guess he is both. One cannot exist without the other. It is who he is and if you love him, you must love the good and the bad.”

My eyes widened. “I don’t love him. I barely know him.” I shook my head, but I didn't like the way my heart sped up or felt my temperature rise at the thought of it.

She scoffed loudly and leaned forward onto the table. “You know him a lot better than most people. Anyway, I didn’t drag you away from him to spend our night talking about him. So... let's talk about me,” she grinned widely, and I laughed. I really liked Elle. She was good fun.

“Okay.”

“Please tell me you know some hot, sweet and sexy men that you can set me up with! If it comes from you, Gio might just allow me to go on a date!”

“Hmm, I only know one actually, but I think you would like him,” I said with a wink and her eyes lit up.

“Yes! Show me a picture,” she shouted excitedly.

“I can’t. I don’t have social media.”
