Rory couldn't go to bed soon enough.

FORTY-ONE

"G'night, Mr Monster!" Rory wrapped her arms around Wystan's neck and hugged him tight enough to strangle him, if he'd needed to breathe. Then she kissed his cheek, before running off.

Tacey just watched, not saying a word, but her eyes said plenty.

They said if he didn't tell her everything, she'd kick him out of the house. For good this time.

Eternity as a gargoyle on her roof. Well, there were worse ways to keep watch. But he could live with that, if that was what she wanted. At least he'd know she was safe, and Rory, too.

Finally, she closed the door to Rory's bedroom and took a chair on the opposite side of the table from him. Then she folded her arms, fixing her gaze on him, and said, "Explain."

And he did. Lying about going to the car, trying to chase after Masters, riding on top of the police car, hearing the man's plans for Tacey, before sneaking into the back seat of his car to try to persuade him to leave Tacey alone.

"I didn't expect him to go crazy. The car just flipped and we were in the water and he was screaming and then...it was all over," Wystan finished.

Tacey had the strangest expression on her face. Like she was trying not to smile, but her face kept wanting to anyway. Finally, she said, "So...you're telling me Matt's death was an accident. He freaked out when he saw you, lost control of the car, and got himself killed in a car accident. Just like he intended to happen to me, only he drove off a bridge, instead of over a cliff."

Wystan nodded. He'd seen the similarities, too. Perhaps this was justice, served by a fate that didn't like lawyers.

Tacey rose hesitantly to her feet, then held out her arms. "I believe I need to thank you."

Used to Rory's exuberant hugs, he knew Tacey was offering something similar, but she was no innocent child.

"You don't owe me anything. I'm your sworn protector. You summoned me, remember?" he said.

"Will you just hug me already? I feel stupid standing here with my arms up, if you don't."

He had to laugh at that. Nor could he disobey a command, even if he'd wanted to.

She felt soft and delicate in his arms, though he knew she was easily as strong as he was, when it counted. Oh, but the delight of her breasts against his chest! He hadn't been this close to a woman since...

"Now kiss me."

FORTY-TWO

Tacey thought she'd remembered that first kiss, but her memories hadn't done it or Wystan justice. He kissed like she was a drink in the desert, when he was dying of thirst, searing her insides all the way down to her core.

Only now did she realise that he wasn't wearing any pants, and the monster jutting from his groin was hot and hard against her belly.

Tacey took a split second to remember that Octavia was at the café, Callie was still at that wedding and Rory was asleep in her room. Tomorrow, they'd have a full house again. If she was being sensible, she should take him to her bedroom before they did anything, but right now, she was sick of being sensible.

She wanted to ride that monster cock until she screamed.

Tacey pushed Wystan down onto the nearest chair, then dragged her shirt over her head. Her pants hit the floor, followed by her underwear. She took a deep breath, before she straddled his lap.

Even the head of his cock felt huge, but she didn't hesitate. She guided him inside her, sinking down, down that enormous length, until she felt fuller than she'd ever been before.

"Oh, Miss Tacey, you are divine," Wystan groaned. "Are you sure you want this?"

Tacey laughed. "I've never wanted anything more."

And then she rode him. Hard. Until the first orgasm sent her reeling, quickly followed by a second, and a third.

Any more and she'd fall apart, unable to walk. If it wasn't too late for that already.

Wystan rose from his seat, still deep inside her, and she wrapped her legs around his waist to keep him there. "I'm taking you to bed, Miss Tacey."
