“April,” a voice said.

I spun around and threw a smile on my face.

“Sorry about that,” I said, waving my phone. “Work.”

I managed to take solid, firm steps.

No indications showing what was really happening to me on the inside.

I glanced at the baby in his arms.

“You’ve been busy,” I blurted out.

I wasn’t sure if that was funny or not.

One of the guys laughed.

He then basically lunged toward me.

Covered in muscle. Big eyes that screamedflirtingandI’ll-rip-your-panties-off-with-my-teeth.

“I’m Rome,” he said. “You know, like the thing you do… youroamaround.”

He wiggled his eyebrows.

“You really just start hitting on someone that quick, don’t you?” Seb asked.

“Look at her,” Rome said. “This is your best friend’s little sister? This is a woman. A beautiful woman.”

“Wow,” I said. “Very smooth and effective.”

Someone bigger than Rome pulled him away.

That guy looked at me and he looked mean. Monstrous and mean.

He nodded. “Joe.”

“April,” I said.

“Might as well do this then,” Seb said. “Rome, Joe. Henry, Jago. This is Atlas. And Hazel. And this little bundle in my arms is Juniper Evelyn. Atlas and Hazel’s daughter.”

“Oh, how cute,” I said.

“She was born a little too early,” Hazel said to me with a glistening-eyed smile. “So she had to stay here.”

“I can’t imagine,” I said. “That must have been a lot for you both to go through.”

“We made it, though,” Atlas said. He grabbed Hazel’s hand. “Made us closer and stronger and more in love.”

“That’s so damn sweet,” Rome said.

“Do you need another tissue?” Hazel asked.

“Are you a crier?” I asked Rome.

“Hey, I’m a man and I sometimes cry,” Rome said. “Judge me for it if you want.”

“Believe me, we do,” Henry said.
