Mature. Full. Curvy…

She turned her head and smiled at me.

The breeze wrapped her hair around her face.

She tried to fight it, but lost.

I stood in my own apartment, holding her two bags.

I placed them down next to the couch and walked over to the balcony to join her.

“Tell me this is your favorite spot in the world,” she said. “Sitting here each morning with a cup of coffee? Or standing here? Just staring at the ocean, sipping coffee, loving life? And then at night? A drink while you stare out and wait for the moon to reflect off the water?”

“I’m never out here,” I said.

“What?” April yelled. “How? Why?”

“I’m busy,” I said. “And most of my nighttime activity takes place in my bedroom.”

“Ew.”

“Ew? What’s gross about that?”

“Because… you’re… Sebby.”

“Can you not call me that?”

“Oh, what’s wrong? Will it hurt your image? Kill your vibe? Nobody else calls you that?”

“There’s only one person in the world who has ever called me that damn name.”

“See? Told you. You’ll always be my Sebby.”

The muscles in my back tightened.

“Don’t make me do it,” I said.

“Do what?” April asked.

She smiled.

I stepped closer to her. “How’s life…Auggie.”

“Damn you,” she growled.

“What? I can’t call you that. My dorkyAuggie?”

“Shut up,” she said.

“What are you going to do about it? Huh?”

April turned and slammed her hands to my chest and tried to shove me back.

She gasped when she touched my chest.

Yeah, babe, that toned body of mine is now big and buff.

“Careful,Auggie,” I said.
