I never sawAndy so pissed before.
I finally put my hand out and stopped him.
“What is it?”
“It has to do with April.”
My heart jumped at her name. “What happened?”
“This guy… this fucking junior. Trying to spread a rumor about her.”
“Rumor?”
“Yeah. Claiming he hooked up with her.”
“He didn’t?”
“Fuck no,” Andy growled. “I know this kid too. I know his older brother. Me and him don’t get along. What am I going to do though? Huh? I’ve got everyone eyeing me up and down right now. But this guy… Seb. She’s been crying for three days.”
“Crying.”
“Crying.”
Without thinking, I blurted out, “I’ll handle it. Give me a name.”
“Whoa,” Andy said. “You can’t touch him either. You know that, right? You can’t compromise your career either. We’re close, man. So close to getting into the pros.”
“Andy. I can handle this.”
“You’d do that for me? For her?”
I nodded.
“No. Forget about it.”
“Andy. Give me a name. Or I will go after every junior.”
Andy rubbed his chin.
He wanted to insist I do nothing.
But he knew I had no choice.
When it came to April…
I would always protect her.
Andy looked at me.“What did you end up doing, Seb?”
