“Don’t go slow,” I whispered.

“Believe me, babe, I don’t plan on it,” he said.

We kissed again.

I was all his… again.

The sceneof him putting his clothes on, getting ready to leave, felt like my dream had turned into a nightmare.

I got dressed too. Even more of a nightmare.

A part of me thought about telling him to tell Jago to just leave.

The poor guy had been sitting in Seb’s car for at least an hour now.

Seb lingered in the doorway to the bedroom.

He smiled at me. “Do we do the cliché thing?”

“Where I run at you and we kiss and then I cry?”

“That’s the one.”

“How about I just run at you and kiss you?”

“I like that, April.”

I didn’t actually run.

I just walked to him.

He grabbed my sides and lifted me to my toes.

That move was completely and totally unfair.

That move made me want to get naked again.

He broke the kiss. “No way we’re saying goodbye either.”

“You sure?”

“Positive, April.”

“Are you going to call me later? Are you going to be clingy?”

“I’ll cling to you like my tongue to your clit,” Seb whispered.

I blushed and laughed. “How romantic.”

One more quick kiss and he walked from my bedroom to the door of my apartment.

I watched him leave.

I held myself together.

There wasn’t room or time for emotion.

I had to think about my life and make some big decisions.
