I wondered if he did that on purpose to make my boobs bounce a little.

Well, not a little, but a lot.

A cheap move like that should have annoyed me.

But it was Seb.

“Tell me more about your job,” he said.

“Why? It’s not that exciting.”

“You uprooted your life for this, right?”

“Not exactlyuprooted,” I said. “I came here with a couple bags. I’m good for now. Plus, if I make this work, there’s a raise in it for me. Visibility. All that crap. Prove myself to the powers that be, you know?”

“Sounds terrible.”

“Actually, my friends and I want to start our own company,” I said. I picked at the sweaty label on the beer bottle. “Where we work… there’s a lot of men. You know?”

“Ah,” Seb said. “So you think they don’t view women as equals?”

“Nope.”

“Starting your own company sounds fun. Risky. But you’re good at that stuff. You can take risks and make them work out.”

“What makes you say that?”

“I don’t know. You just always had that vibe. You’re a fighter. A pain in the ass. I always liked that about you.”

“Thanks,” I said.

I took a drink from the beer bottle as my cheeks flushed a little.

“So tell me the craziest thing you ever had to market,” Seb said.

“Oh… wow…” I had to think about it for a second or two. “I don’t know. There were some weird things.”

“Like what?” Seb asked.

“I don’t know, Seb. I don’t really have any exciting stories. What are you thinking? That I had to market sex toys or something?”

He laughed. “I think those market themselves, right?”

I shook my head. “How about we talk about you? Is that okay?”

“Me? What about me?”

He put his feet up on the table.

Right onto a bunch of important papers.

Ignorant jerk.

But…

Look at those feet.

Big feet.
