“You’re lucky,” he said to me. “Nothing itches either.”

“Good to know,” I said. “And I made sure breakfast is ginger free. Just for you,Sebby.”

“Aren’t I the luckiest guy in the world right now?”

“Waking up with me here? And a free breakfast? I can’t imagine anything better.”

“Then you should keep imagining,” Seb said.

As he made a move for the food, I jumped in his way.

I grabbed the bags and started to walk to the balcony.

“Bring the coffee out!” I yelled.

I heard him growl with annoyance.

I had been a pain in Seb’s ass since I was a dorky teenager.

So why change that now?

Plus, the view from his apartment… it was too good to pass up.

Especially for breakfast and coffee.

We sat next to each other on the balcony.

We sipped coffee.

We ate.

“You sure you feel okay?” I asked Seb.

“Perfect,” he said. “What about you? Are you allergic to anything?”

Without thinking for a second, I blurted out, “Only decent men!”

I thought it would be a smash hit joke.

Instead, Seb lifted an eyebrow and stared at me.

What a dumb thing to say.

I shook my head. “Never mind. That was…”

“Bad taste in men?” Seb asked.

“Change the subject,” I said. “Or better yet, I need to get to work.”

“We just sat down.”

“We did. But I have a job to do.”

“Selling those shitty health bars?”

“Excuse me?” I asked.

“Excuse me,” Seb said. “Selling those shitty health bars that almost killed me?”
