I shut my eyes.

I was suddenly thrust back into my fantasy.

Seb between my legs.

His tongue…

I opened my eyes and forced myself to take another bite of the blueberry health bar.

I chewed down once and then found a trashcan to spit it out into.

My life was a huge mess.

Chapter Thirteen

SEBASTIAN

I stoodup and Jago stood right in my face.

“I fucking hate them,” he said.

“I know you do.”

“They passed me up in the draft. They said I wasn’t good enough.”

“Look at you now.”

“I’m not giving up a goal tonight. I need you, Sebastian.”

“I’ve got your back,” I said. “I promise.”

Jago turned and walked away.

I looked over at Henry and shook my head.

San Francisco passed up on Jago years ago and he never forgave them for it.

The end of the season wind down was always tricky when you weren’t really going for a championship.

The balance of playing each game honestly and looking forward to the off-season to regroup and put together a better team.

Tonight was a big deal for our goalie.

I looked at everyone one by one.

Henry. Joe. Atlas. Rome.

They all knew.

Henry had explained to Atlas what this meant the last time we played San Francisco.

That night Atlas got into three fights and was kicked out of the game halfway through the third period.

On top of that, he ended up getting fined by the league, which Jago jumped in and said he’d pay.

As we walked to the locker room door, waiting to leave, I nodded to Atlas.

“How’s the little one?” I asked.
